one of the maddens you could even go to a defensive assignments menu and manually select defensive matchups on receivers/tight ends/ running backs, but it hasnt reached the 360 games as of yet.

 

Also guys if you want to hide which play you pick when playing head to head. Hit the a button and hold it down starting at the play you want. Then let it cycle through a few different plays. once you release the a button it will break the huddle. The play selected will be the one you initially pressed a on, but you just went over a bunch of plays and your opponent will not know which that you picked.

 

Did graphics take a hit in order to get the framerate up?

 

Drake said the game is "gorgeous" so apparently not.

I'm pretty annoyed about the absence of on-the-fly audibles. In fact, I'm pissed. This is a vital part of playcalling and yet another year without it irks me tremendously.

Are you talking about the right stick audibles? Yea i miss those too and also the smart routes. But i do like what they did with the regular audibles, putting the play name next to the key so i dont have to remember what was what.

No, I'm talking about at the play call screen where you could designate a play as an audible without having to pause the game. With this option, you could pick a pass play while choosing a run play from the same formation as an audible or vice versa. So, for example, if you broke the huddle and read zone coverage, you could then audible to the run you picked and keep them guessing.

The audibles you set-up pregame now can't be changed unless you pause the game.

 

I dont remember those, what version had that?

 

It's a current gen thing and the last one I played was Madden '06.

i had the game yesterday... i played a few games, game speed felt very good as did the gameplay for most part.. graphics looked to be solid to me..

 

What difficulty level are you guys playing on? I'm still playing NCAA on Heisman though I find the AI to be incredibly cheap, since Akron can get away with throwing bombs and my guys stand there like idiots but everyone on their team plays like frickin Deion Sanders. Overall, do you find it to be balanced? Like good players do what they should and sucky players suck?

 

can you create a team with a stadium and do a fantasy draft and enter them into a season or franchise?

 

There is something similar in the game. You can select the defensive player using the B button, and then you press the A button to highlight the defender and make him do certain things, like cover a certain receiver, drop to zone, blitz, QB spy, etc.. you can do this for anyone on Defense. If you pull the LT you can see mismatches and assign certain defensive personnell to cover a certain person. It is lengthy and tricky to pull off in about 10 seconds though. Overall, it is better than last year.

how is the create a stadium.. is there a create a team with logo selector and colour selctor and such.. can you create a stadium with nothing on one endzone.. like just a scoreboard?
