Quick observations

hells yeah. i figured it was gonna be in Madden for sure. kinda disappointed.

it seems EA is afraid to launch any true "next-gen" features in Madden. witness replays in NCAA, online leagues in NHL, and gameface in Tiger Woods. looks like they are "testing" this stuff out in other games with the goal of bringing those features into Madden in the future.

 

Probably just ran out of room on the disc...lol

 

Okay...at first I thought that the whole "computer cheats" thing was a figment of the imagination. That is until last night. Playing my Week 3 Franchise game versus the Bengals I got tore a new bunghole.

The Bengals started off on a tear going down the field in 1 play for a TD run. I managed to hold them off with my defense scoring on two turnovers for TDs. Up 21-10 after the 1st half I had the game in control. The AI took over the game and gave the Bungles the advantage. I couldn't muster any offense at all in the 2nd half...going 3 and out the entire half. Each time I held them to a FG. On one kickoff return I got knocked the F out and dropped the ball giving up the TD. They were now down by two and went for it. I stopped them at the 1 yard line and they gave them the 2-points. So then the game is tied. Ensuing kickoff return I fumble again...this time I'm just running with the cover on. They scored again and won the game 28-21.

By far the biggest anal raping of my madden career.

 

Told ya the computer cheats, it does that crap on NCAA too. Besides, I know first hand that the Bengals D is horrible. Besides, there is no one on that roster that can run a huge TD run. I'm assuming it was Rudi Johnson who gashed you. Considering he hasn't had a 40+ yard run in a couple seasons and only a handful over 20+, that is a rip off. Sorry it had to happen to ya.

 

It was Rudy...that mutha had 140 yards in the first quarter. That damned stiff arm was the key.

 

Yea, I just played Floyd and Peyton Manning could read my play 90% of the time. His damn light bulb was always lit up. This weapon stuff is so arcadey.

 

The most idiotic thing that i justdont understand is the default pump block on 4th downs on online play.. Are we going to make a rule or think about making sure that people have enough time to pick the proper coverage.. that' got to be the most aggrevating thing.. Just crazy..

 

I never use the default play. I've noticed that if i'm on the 35 yard line the default tells me to punt. With Josh Brown...I'm not missing a 52 yard FG.

 

thanks for reminding me I'm normal nosice. After trying to pick a normal punt return online and ending up with a 4-3 defense 6 times I was beginning to wonder if I even know how to play the game!

 

Yah, I am almost done with this game. Too arcade like for me.

 

www.operationsports.com ( I think that's the website) for sliders and such if the game is too arcade like for you. On that note...surprised you've enjoyed any football game over the past 20 years if you find this version of madden "too arcade like". I mean the game can only be so real. If you want a true sim put on some pads and get your ass on the field.

OK havent got the game yet stupid BioShock made EA set the date back but the demo was out yday and ive played it over 30 times and im really happy with it, Sure only bears vs colts but its ok its somthing to play,
hard to figure out the D options used to 07 to much lol and Offence options are out of this world cant wait for the game!!!!!
