I always preferred the term cheese goal over glitch goal. There's always goals that will work most of the time, I mean backhand-forehand or as some LG vets call it "the moose" has been in the game since nhl 07. Luckily I'll always be ready to defend such goals.

I'm actually hoping for it to be on NHL 15 I just don't see how wanting it on nhl 14 makes him an Idiot?

    Cons :

    1. New skill stick sucks, Tried aiming for top shelf shot or go backhand and it dekes instead. Also no more one handers/windmills

    2. Backhands are OP

    3. Took out Custom 3, The dynamic camera throws me off when it shifts to the sides a bit.

    4. Played as goalie and felt goalies were small and were less mobile, Also not sure if the arrow is in the game or not and that sucks if it is not.

With that being said Im not a huge fan of change so Im a huge critique when things change and need to get more time in with the demo, Im sure Ill find a new view (Classic) that Ill enjoy using and the stick will feel more natural as I log more time into the demo as well as goalies but they do need to tone down backhanders. I do really like the new puck physics though as it seems the puck actually hits stuff like skates and legs and what not instead of just going through crowds. I really hate how there was no demo for the 360 as I would of liked to compare them and see which I preferred.

I feel like when you lock on goalie you need to come out of your net and challenge a bit more than you had to last year, I also feel like the goalie moves a lot smoother side to side and when coming off the post.

Overall it looks nice so far IMO.

J.Quick goes post to post so fast in this game its nuts, Lundy you have to be more aggressive with, I guess Quick's aggressiveness rating is way higher then Lundy's so he comes out naturally. Overall I like the demo.

it's really easy to score but i think the shots and skating and what not are turned up. u can rip a clap bomb end to end and hit the glass. other than that the game feels great.

If I'm not mistaken wasn't it last year someone who had knowledge of EA said they purposely tune UP the shooting in the demos so kids can score and will buy the game.

And while the backhand may work on the computer, it looks so easy to defend as a human. This has been one of the better demos where I didn't think the skating felt like shit, so I'm interested to see what it's like on the 360.

Has anyone tried using the controls without the skill stick ? Maybe 14 handling?

When will people realize the gameplay on 360 is going to be the exact same as NHL 14?

I love the feel of the game on the one, dekes were changed but seem so much more fluid overall. Poke check animation is what I see some people commenting on, there is no more lunging at the puck animation it looks much more controlled. Forcing the puck middle seems much less effective with the sticks players etc all having proper collision. The AI seems to read plays actually better. No more super bounces on dumps was nice to see the boards from what I have seen have reacted much more realistic as well, with all these positive changes I think the no EASHL is worse now because this title seems to be worth it.

The demo grew on me, but its really hard for me to say that I have a solid opinion on it after playing against the computer.

I really wish we knew for sure if they improved on NHL 15 last gen.

I really enjoyed that the backhand finally works after all these years.

I find controlling a player to be very restricted compared to 14. You are essentially locked in to the left stick and about 5 different deke animations and that is all you have. For advertising a superstar skill stick, I actually found myself pretty disappointed with the lack of creativity.

Holding A is disgustingly overpowered at the moment.

I hope they tune the wrist shot power down a tiny bit, but leave slap shot power where it is.

I like the poke check animations this year.

Same goals still go in on computer goalies compared to 14.

Ultimately to me it feels like a prettier version of 14 with a slightly different feel when skating and restricted movement.

Not good. '14 on 360 is better. More control. More ability.

Demo for '15 is some nub stuff. For people like us who play regularly and have some ability at the game, this seems like a step backward, control-wise. It's made for beginner's now.

Why is it called superstar "skill" stick as opposed to superstar "auto" stick? First auto spins, now auto dekes...by NHL 17 we'll literally be putting our controllers down off the opening faceoff and the game will be playing for us. EA continues to take away every aspect of control or tools that good players have to separate themselves from the mediocre ones. Why not add an "assists off" control scheme ala racing games for people that are capable of pressing more than one button at once? While I agree the unrealistic pull back dekes have needed to go for a while and overall it looks more fluid/authentic, I don't see the reason for mapping auto dekes to the RS when your finger literally sits on top of LB.

    RIP Right Stick: 2007-2014.

I enjoy the gameplay on the demo. I'm really disheartened we can't use it for club/LG. Seems to be a bit less one-man-show and more puck movement oriented.
