Iinteresting way to shuffle the teams...

In my hockey league, nearly every team got one of their 1st or 2nd picks. Not one person dropped from the league at the start after they saw what team they would be playing with for 82 games. Why? Because you can't get what we are doing here, anywhere else. Look around. Find another NHL league with that deep of a scoreboard, as well run, as with close to no turnover (everyone wants to stay no matter what team they have!). That's what we're going to try and create with the NFL league too, but it will take time to get a group of 32 players that are just happy to play the game and be in the league no matter what team they are playing with.

Call it a good 'ol boys league, or whatever you want, it's just the way it is. Like we've all been saying, noone has to feel obligated to signup for season 2. If you don't like the way that the commish's set things up, then don't signup. It's as simple as that.

Raptor and Indigo have seen your comments and have taken them into consideration, there's really nothing more to discuss that hasn't already been said.

 

There is a set standard. Team selection has been handled the same way since SEASON 1 of NHL2k3.

 

I don't believe I was arguing. lol My one post is hardly arguing. It was merely a suggestion. I was posting that this league needs to have a standard adopted for team selection. When the guidelines aren't posted or set in stone and decisions are made behind closed doors that in itself causes problems.

 

I would settle for any team besides the Bears,

 

In my Season 4 NHL signup thread, I posted the guidelines that I would be using for selecting the teams and this was know to all before they signed up to show their interest.

NFL will be the same way if they choose to do it in a similar fashion.

 

You guys spread yourselves out too thinly among games... when I go on Live and look at my friends list, it seems that every week, everyone from the NFL league is playing some new game that just came out.

I look at the games list at the bottom of your peoples' posts and am astonished!

When he said that it wasn't "broke, don't fix it" he meant the system I used to assign teams in the NHL league, currently in Season 4. The NHL league is a huge success, and very solid, I rarely if ever hear a complaint about someone's team.

You can't compair hockey fans to football! It's a rare breed of people who enjoy hackey and they're all hardcore! All I want to know is what place in the draft do I get to pick? It looks to me like I should pick no later than 14th. I don't like posting my top 5 teams because if they're gone then who will you give me?????? At least post the draft order and for example;

if i pick 14th the i will post my top 14 teams in order

He was the only one that said he wanted the Colts out of the first 32 to signup for the season I believe. There have 14 teams change owners this season out of the waiting list, so there is probably a pretty good chance that some teams will want to be switching around to try and get their fav or 2nd fav, etc.
