All the embargo's have been lifted for MLB 2K10, so i can answer any directed questions. If there is something you want to know about this title, Ask away boys.
I have a few........... First off, Is the game acually good? - Is it a true "sim" game? Or do you still hit a HR every other at bat? - Are fielding glitches still present? - Have you played "my player" - Are pitching and batting mechanics accurate and smooth? Or are they frusterating and over done? There are a few! Havent had many posts yet so I thought I'd put you to work! lol
The 2k games are always good...I think your home run gripe is legit, however thats what sliders are for. In years past if you played around with them enough you were able to get much better results as far as long bombs all the time. I'll let tris answer your other questions, I just wanted to add that in my opinion most gamers are far too impatient with baseball games for some reason. They swing at everything and anything, and when they miss badly the game just automatically sucks. Those dropped balls in the outfield are highly annoying and at the rate it happened was unacceptable imo. Im with you in hoping thats gone, the demo seems to prove that it is gone. I think if you try the new pitching, which is basically the old pitching but on steroids..lol, youll love it. Im pumped for tuesday, and I'll leave it at that!
Ill get to these questions today. I'm totally addicted to the "my player" mode. Im a SS and working my way through the jays farm system. This mode really makes the game.
Hey everyone look at me, my name is tris and i made this website and i work for 2k and have the game before you. What an arrogant prick
Here's a vid of my first big league at bat http://community.2ksports.com/community/media/viewer.cfm?mediaid=1373465 Pretty good way to start eh
nice, the only problems i had with the demo were some minor fielding things, like the catcher missing the tag at hom even though the ball was there way before the runner, the other prbolem was with a grounder to first, the pitcher went to cover and didnt stop on 1st base i threw it to the pitcher from the first basemen and he ran right past the bag and the runner was safe. only two things so far that reminded me of 2k9. everything else has been great so far.
in my player, after making it to the big leagues and the team you wwant to play with (ex: Mets, my player is SS) will it replaced Jose Reyes automatically? This is something that really bugged me in NBA 2k10 how i replaced a top player with a rating of only 50 rating compared to someone with a 75+ rating. Getting my copy Monday!
yea I would like to know this as well, also how fast can you work your way up, I'll be pretty disappointed if it takes you like 40 games, Baseball players usually take several years before they get regular time.
Ok for me the answer is "no", it doesn't replace him. My position is the SS and i beat out Johny MacDonald for that position. The coach assigned MacDonald as the DH instead.
Yeah, I want MLB 2K12 to come out before I make it into the big leagues in MLB 2K10! I hope that happens! I get what ya mean though, if I'm in the big leagues in a week, I'll be in the HOF by seasons end.
To make it up to the majors you have to have a bunch of minimum requirements They include: Stats: Battering Avg above .260 Stats: OBP above .300 (i believe) Stats: Slug above 333 (i believe) Attributive: Contact vs RH & Contact vs LH above 60 Attribute: Power vs RH & Power vs LH above 60 Attribute: Running Speed 60 or above Attribute: Catching Above 60 It takes a good while to get your attributes built up and you need to do it while keeping your batting avg and other stats respectable. This of course was for an infielder, it might be different for a catcher or out fielder.
Right, its one thing in other sports because guys can make an impact. But baseball you don't often see teenagers, 99/100 guys spend at least a few seasons in the minors.
Are mid-game saves in the game? Or do I have to use the method I use for Madden? Which is leaving my console on and running for hours.
Ya there are in game saves. I haven't used them yet though. My player games can take a few minutes (if you have it defaulted to only play events that include you)
