I'm not going to comment on how or what the league does to handle it. I have my own opinions and steps but as everyone else, they are just opinions, while others are put in charge to handle/decide these things.

This is not a political statement to "control" the masses. Considering the past two seasons of the OCR coming into play there have been management suspected of padding stats. Adding simple pictures on a site like this is not asking/demanding too much.

You're throwing out a vague argument based on principals which could apply to almost any rule or structure. "Why make weekly lines? It's silly and we don't want to do it as we go, we'll make sure we do everything right and not play people wrongly" etc, etc, etc... "give the people what they want!"

Also, along with the questionable stat padding I posted above I don't think many people who didn't handle any game stat audits realize or know how bad manual stats were. Players complaining and flagging games where they were missing stats and without proof they would never be revised even though the flagged them 2 or 3 times. I think these two factors were a big reason why Tris and Brodie decided it to be mandatory, or just maybe Tris wants them because it's easy, can be done and we have the resources on the site that can eliminate any questions of accurate stats?

 

Even though I agree with you completely, we must look at every side. Expecting and using the words should or probably can never be use in these situations. Saying someone should have a great phones and HDTV is ridiculous. You can not just expect people to have these.

 

Hey cool, another league that takes suspensions more serious than the real NHL. Suspending HALF the leagues GMs is probably the proper course though. Not like thousands of new players just flooded here bc another league went on a power trip or anything. How many games will I be suspended for posting this? Lol

 

In my opinion, the onus falls on the league for picking incompetent management. You can argue #thegreatergood for pictures all you want. All I'm saying is that I fucking despise the approach they are taking to do so. Piling up suspensions in hopes of quick and radical change is not the best way to get stuff done. It really doesn't matter though, nowhere for people to go if they get suspended and the league knows it.

 

It's week one. The suspensions clearly show how seriously the league is taking the matter of posting pictures. Isn't it better to be consistently firm from the beginning than to be lackadaisical about it, then wind up with a suspension in the later weeks when teams are pushing for the playoffs?

 

I agree so I'm not sure why you are saying it, no one else has. What is your point? If you are implying that a cheap digital camera taking a pic from a standard definition TV can't be use or 1 in 12 players in a game doesn't have any resources as minimal as these to upload readable stats to the site, then you are very misinformed or too close minded to realize what you are arguing. Having management access means that you have more information and details on how things can be done than other. This is an invalid argument.

I'm not the one that made a sympathy thread. There are ways to go about this like a big boy and contact the people that you should be contacting for help ect…

 

They took the job to help the league. You can subscribe to the harsh punishments to control behavior all you want, however the science suggests other methods are quicker and more effective. It's what happens when the uninformed are constantly rotated through important positions.

 

Thats where you're wrong.

 

The "warning" that you wanted is in the constitution and at the end of the contract you signed as a GM, implying that you read it and would abide by it.

 

Reading this quote and seeing that pic of "The Governor" just gave me a chill down my back.
