Thoughts on Star Wars:KOTOR

I have to disagree. The character models aren't spectacular. But, the environments are stunning. The Selketh look great. The Rancor is freakin' amazing.

The animation and fight sequences are very good. The shadows are top notch. The reflective surfaces are REALLY amazing (if you hit the light source juuuust right with a sword or something similar.)

Pretty much, the polygons in this game aren't that great. But, it's all in the details that makes this game one of the nicest on the Xbox. And, I've had one or two instances of serious slow down of all the hours I've played it.

 

got it for a week from blockbuster... just gotta find time to play it. I've already been neglecting SH3 lately...

 

I put 8 1/2 hours into it yesterday. I became a Jedi, I am a guard....with a blue lightsabre. I killed some Dark side Jedi chick, got her 2 red sabers, turned em green, and the other blue. That one main chic has a double bladed yellow lightsabre. I think I am gonna go play some more.....just got to my third planet, Tatooine.

 

So what do you think about it?

 

you werent supposed to kill her lattdog, atleast thats what i heard. i chopped her to pieces too though so dont worry.

 

8 hours and still just won the swoop race... level 7 soldier though. I am making sure to kill everything I can to get the highest level, but remain good, i'll do the dark side next time.

 

If there is a next time... The game gets kinda frustrating at the end and the few people that i've talked to didnt want to play it again.

 

Yea, if you kept her alive she would wind up joining your party. Ohh well, she was dark side.....so I wasted her....I didn't get dark side points so its all good. I am on Manaan right now getting ready to go to the ocean floor.

 

manaan is what really pissed me off, i hated all the court trials and everything. good luck with the sharkies.

 

Yea, I got through the trials ok. I haven't played today yet......but I am gonna get in the sub when I do.

 

I bombed the trials and set my man to jail....oh well.

Come to think of it, I think Im talking about a different trail.

 

Hmm, I got banned from Manaan today.....will I ever be able to go back and do the side quests?? I had a few left and I wanted to do some more swoop racing as well.

 

I am really liking this game! I am about 12 hours into it, and find it a very addicting title. Finally, a great Star Wars title!

 

Yea, its good. I am 23 hours 11 minutes into it.

 

Ok, I need a little assistance. I am on Kasyyk.....the chieftan or whatever gave me some task. Well, I pretty much did everything in the shadowlands. I found a piece of a sword after killing this big monster...but where do I find the other piece of the sword??

 

Oh, thats the part where you have to kill the monster. See this monster swallows this sword, or just wears it, so you need to get it back. What you want to do is find and area, south eastern part of the map, where there is this rounded off area. It will have vines hanging from the trees above. You need to kill a certain animal, get its meat, then hang it from the vine. The monster will come out, you will have to fight and kill it, thus retrieving the sword.

 

Big Z's father has the hilt. Talk to him. He's down there somewhere.

 

Bab, I already killed the monster. I needed to know where the hilt is....Curll just informed me I need to get the hilt from Big Z's dad.

 

Ok, now I'm lost. I remember a part where you grab a sword that has meaning that you return to Zalbar's daddy, then the dad takes over the thrown.

 

I can't find the daddy ......so I decided to come back later. Right now I am stuck on the Sith planet, Koribian, trying to find another gay sword in some tomb.....but I don't know how to get through the tomb. An obelisk or something is blocking the path.
