I was just curious if you ever considered going with a Darker appearance on the forums? Examples: Team XBOX or XBLR. One of the reason's I didn't come here for a while was the color setup, and its probably the main reason I never got into XBLG. I personally just like the darker appearance better. It allows the site as a whole to look nicer. Allows the Graphics to look more sharp and stand out better.

Another question is, did you ever consider using vB? I understand if your not using because you aren't familiar with programming, but the reason I ask is, they tend to look nicer than most forums. The downside I guess to that is I think it's like a couple hundred bucks for lifetime access to use it.

I think this is BY FAR the best BBC forum I have ever seen, but think improvements listed above would make this site as a whole, not only better, but more professional in appearance.

This is all based on my opinion, but I think there are a lot of people that feel the same way about darker forums, and then there are a lot I am sure who prefer the vB forums as well. Just thought I would throw this stuff out there. Thanks.

 

I am impartial on the color, I think either way is nice. But I guess that I am so used to this now that it would be wierd to go dark. But everyone always says "change is good"

 

And it would be wierd for a little bit. I remember when PMGP went to XBLR. I was involved in the process being staff at the time, and it took me a good few weeks to warm up to it. But now, I couldn't imagine going back.

 

i prefer darker colors too...but oh well

 

Ya I agree. Darker is better. It makes the avatars look way better.

 

Well the blue has me liking it now, can't figure out why, but the blues just have my eyes now, I don't think I could withstand a change.

 

you wouldn't have to because in your profile you would be able to switch to whatever color scheme you liked

 

I like it how it is actually. Those dark forums are too high contrast and it's harder on your eyes.

Just wait until you guys hit middle age and are all nearsighted!

I don't know how the whole color thing works but if it was as simple as assignig every thing a color value I could come up with something for sure.

I like both, but prefer the blue gray sceme that is here for this site.

 

Yeah I agree , The current settings are much easier for me to read. I have been over to XBL recently and not only found it too dark for my liking but difficult to follow where things were.

 

Well like i said before...if you guys didn't want it then you could just use the default while everyone else could go into their profile and select the different scheme

 

I like the look of darker forums as well, but this site is so much easier on the eyes. Its fine the way it is, and I don't see it changing in the near future.

 

It does't have too lol...we can just get an alternate scheme which would be selectable in the profile...

 

That's wierd how bright/dark affect people differently. These forums are WAY harder on my eyes.

 

Probably cause you are used to the xblracing forums by now. lol

 

i never liked the XBLR forums after they changed to XBLR but that is my opinion.

 

Yea, after it switched over to XBLR I rarely go there now....I like this color scheme.

 

I'm the same way. I find the dark scheme much harder to see and get around in. I personally wouldn't change a thing.

 

Yea, xblr I have no idea...I just don't wanna go there nemore....I think it is due to the colors..because before they switched I was there 24/7 posting it up, lol.
