MLB 2K5. Post your i Well how about it? What do you think?? I love this game! I really dont see how any other baseball could bet its graphics and smooth game play. The controls are easy as cake to learn and some of the camera angles are incredible. 5 stars in my book.
My reactions to 2K5. Pluses 1. Base running is intelligent and greatly improved as you can easily see where each runner is going, and if he?s going to stop at 3rd or continue home. 2. The pickoffs are really fast feels like real baseball. 3. The presentation is superb 4. Online interface, has all the tsunami features and works like H2 so there?s no login to go through. 5. I will confirm Primo?s statement, the online and offline experience was identical and amazingly crisp. 6. I think the pitcher/batter interface has improved over last year. 7. The graphics are just awesome. Minuses 1. There are times when the camera cuts to an odd view of the ball where there are no fielders in sight, I see many MVP fans pointing at this error as it does come up at least once a game. 2. MUST figure out how to turn off replays online, too many. 3. I hate the K-Zone feature, thankfully you can turn this off. 4. The camera will take a little to get used to. 5. The overall game still took a while to get through. Maybe if I can figure out how to turn off the replays it?ll go quicker but the new pitching method is not as fast as MVP?s and slows the game down more than some will care for. Overall, I really like 2K5 as it?s a tremendous improvement over last year?s game.
D*mn Connor, I couldnt have sait it better. I was thinking all that but since I have a Ohio education I couldnt apply my thoughts to paper.
Remind me to never send my kids to Ohio for college. "Sait" what the ??? And "a Ohio" stringing two vowels...WOW! I agree with you. Just playin' Primo!
Lay off the Ohio jokes....or we'll be hookin up in Fight night 2..lol The buckeyes do produce more NFL players then any other college ( I guess that doesn't mean they have to be intelligent...lol)
ROTF! I was trying to type really fast. Everytime I do that I f*ck up. Here, say this really fast. I am sofa king we todd ed.
Having just played MLB 2k5 for the past hour or so, I actually like ESPN MLB 2k4 better if you can believe it. It's a completely different game now, which they said they intended to do, but IMO I think they ruined it. I dunno, maybe it will grow on me, but it seems to be all glitz and glamour, and no substance. The presentation is top notch, bar none, but the gameplay itself puts me to sleep (no matter what pitching interface is used) and I can't stand the camera angle for hitting. edit: forgot to mention. Why in the hell did they take out the 720p HD support that 2k4 had? Yes, it was buggy online and wasn't useable if you spent anytime online with the game (typical buggy Sega net-code) but there are plenty of HD capable games out there which are simply stunning graphically (MVP 04/05 being one of those series). If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that Sega/VC/Kush is turning into EA Sports. Give them features, take them away, add them back again later. We saw it really bad in NHL, and now their MLB series.
I liked this game big time, but after playing a game with Army last night I am slipping fast. First off I hit a shot last night and it was clearly a foul ball. I mean this was like 15 feet foul. They counted it as a hit. This was the first episode that make me say hmmmmmmmmmm. Then later in the game something else happen, but I can't remember ARMY help me out................ :? It was absolutely horrific. I did play MVP it was alright........ I still have to play more..........
I have to agree with Jon and Windless here. MVP may not have the presentation of ESPN, but to me it is just smooth. The animations are heads above ESPN. Smooth as silk.
ESPN MLB is the hot chick at the bar that you want a one night stand with. She's fun for a weekend, until you've seen it all a few times and then the substance just isn't there. MVP isn't as flashy with it's presentation, but she's a good girl you'd take home to meet your parents.
I disagree, its seems as though the peeps in Madden who are kinda partial torwards EA like MVP. And those of us in NFL 2K5 like MLB better. Just my opinion. But I have played MVP twice now at soads house and I wasnt impressed at all. Throwing meters in the field (w.t.f ?) and it feels like you are mile away from everything. Plus the animations are kinda cheesy. I do like how you can bring your coach out and argue a close call though.
Another glitch in MLB 2K5 was that I scored 2 runs against Primo and when the inning was over the score was still 0-0.
Not really sure what ESPN has to offer, but if you actually give the game a chance you will see the animations are as smooth as buttah. MVP also did a good job at encorporating SEVERAL different animations, which IMO all look like something a real athlete would do.
Now look im not a EA sports fan ... im a" Best game wins" kinda guy... I dont think anybody turned this into an EA ESPN thing.... Obiviously I havent been able to play The ESPn or MLB game.. But i bought MVP and the one thing that stands out... is the fact that everything is smooth... I mean really smooth... and all in motion... Maybe im not making this clear enough.. But after a pitch they give the replay of the pitch in the corner of the screen but their's no time wasted watching the replay. The popfly catches on the run i mean... it's just smooth... BUT THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE... Im ready to see what 2k has to offer but MVP has made this a joy to play... IM still open minded though... i live out inthe boonies.. so i havent been able to snag a copy of 2ksport's MLB.....
