How Bout Some Off-Season AHL Insider?

Yes because I have never once in my entire time in the league, did media. Even last season through all the bullshit I got from doing media offsite, didn't shut it down till legit less then 24 hours before I got blacklisted. Covering all 3 CHL leagues last season, providing both NHL, AHL, and CHL bidding articles, I spent on general 3+ hours a day just writing articles. This doesn't count research or talking with Eric about the mag etc. Also giving lists of top players to the mag when Eric asked for them. I may have left the media team officially prior to the season but there was always an open line to me if they ever had a question or needed something. You could have left the media team and you would have got a ton of thanks for your dedication when you were there. Sadly you come on the forums and make demands while some obviously are jokes there is no denying it you feel like you deserve more. If you think F5 sat around and did nothing all season you obviously don't have a clue because when he first came to the media team him and Tris were working on things for the Xbox One so that when we move over all of the framework for taking media to the next level was in place. I was initially going to stay on to help the current media but there was differences between staff and myself which made me go out on my own. I don't harbor ill will towards them as we both had what we thought was in the best interest of the league in mind.

TLDR: You're not the only one who has contributed to media, if you want to be done then stop doing it. This whole spam the topics both in media forums and AHL forums is a sad cry for attention.

This thread started as "I'm board!" and has made it's way to "I should be compensated for volunteering!" It's funny at this point. Also, anyone could do AHL insider and it would be entertaining enough to hold my attention whilst I shit.

 

Eh, not entirely true. As I remember it, there was a VHL magazine back in the day that died off. I'm sure someone would've eventually brought it back. Not discrediting you guys but it's the truth.

Also, media is something you volunteer for. Either do it or don't, don't expect someone to give you something other than thanks when you put something out. On the topic of the haters though, in everything you do in life people will hate on it. The point of volunteering to do something isn't for your benefit, it's for the better of the league. I can guarantee not one of your "demands" will be met, and if you don't wanna do Insider someone else will eventually step up to do it. The difference will be they won't stop because of the "bullshit" they get after it's posted or the "load" they have to carry, they'll realize there's people that genuinely are thankful and do it for them.

Anyways, thanks for what you did. Rant over, I'll return to my cave.

It didnt last very long either. To many flakes to do a project of that magnitude. Great idea, great concept, unfortunately to many flakes.

 

Eh, it could have worked if they didn't just dive right in and try to do every level right from the start. For something like the magazine you gotta either A) get a group of people you actually trust or B) incorporate that shit slowly starting with the NHL.

From what I remember that magazine had like 50 people sign up and like 8 of us did work.
