Heading Back To Vancouver Event #2

Besides fixing goalies, having goalies have better coverage short side, when the puck is on the side of the net, goalies should be facing the puck, not center ice.

I like player types, they offer equal opportunity and even the playing field. However, there should be different levels of tiers of each type. e.g. Tier 1, 2, 3 of Playmaker.
Also, you should be able to pick 2 Player Types before the game starts, and line change between the two of those. This would allow line matching, endurance would have more of an affect, if a player decides he only wanted to be Power Forward, he would just select Power Forward twice. But, if a Playmaker got tired of getting crushed, he would make a line change and become a Power Forward. Or if a Two-Way got tired of missing the net, he could switch to a Sniper. Programming wise, if it's too difficult to level up tiers per player type because, you play 2 different types in 1 game, then they could bring back Legend 1,2,3.

What else would be really cool, is manual faceoff formations. Skate your own player where you would like to stand on a faceoff formation. At the end of each play, players are given 10-15 seconds to make a line change [to your 2nd build] and to line up on the faceoff, your player will be automatically played behind the 'line of scrimmage' or behind the hashmarks/faceoff dot if they are not where they should be. It's too hard to switch up faceoff formations between whistles. This allows continuous play and action, yes, there will be no replays, but no one likes those anyways, but it also gives players more liberty over their players and strategies.

I have too many ideas for this game, I could make 1 badass hockey game. Wish I knew programming.

 

In level of importance:

#1 Online Game Play Improvements

• Goalies
  • Need to address the puck better on sharp angles such as goal line and short side/post.
  • Need to either decrease the delay on breakaway reactions or increase breakaway ability.
  • Improve upon animations, allow for something between butterfly position and full standing position.
  • Improve upon post to post ability.
• Defense
  • Need to be able to tie up offensive players in the slot
  • Need to have a defensive stick/more defensive options
• Overall
  • Sticks need to collide with players/rink walls/other sticks, and not just in pre-planned animations.

#2 More Customization

• Allow To Set An Arena as Home Arena (Like how in FIFA you can set/earn stadiums)
  • Unlock custom horns/lights/entrances/etc...
• Allow custom jersey/team logo designs
  • Unlock new features as team progresses

#3 More Variety to Pre-set Player Builds

• Be able to adjust height/weight and have it affect certain physical aspects (speed, balance, hand-eye, etc)
• Be able to have the height weight adjust player overalls.
• Perhaps even institute FIFA style unlocks based upon accomplishments during play.

 

#1 Must : Custom EASHL player builds back again.

Reasoning Why? It's just not realistic having every sniper, power forward, playmaker etc.. the same height, weight, speed, stick curve.. etc. There's no element of surprise as you know the limits of the builds etc..apple orange gets kinda boring.

Other Comments. The ability to reconnect > put the reconnected player on the bench until the next whistle?

Tell whoever the goalie game changer is to suck a dick and kick him in the balls for me.

 

Okay so I have been going through some ideas for how we can make the game better not just for the community but for the league as well. I have decided that why not add a spectate option in EASHL whether it be club games or the invite sessions. With this you should be able to pick a camera view that you like before the game starts and sit back relax and watch the game. Now how might this help? Well for scouting purposes you will be able to fit more people into games and at the same time all of management can watch it happen. This will also be good for such games and events where someone is unable to stream a game. You can have someone come in spectate and stream the game. Also with that you can fill up the spectator amount (however much it is) for people to just watch the game. This will also help the game because maybe some people would like to watch and see people play to improve their play for the drop-in players that aren't even part of the league! I believe this is very possible and could bring something very neat and new to the NHL series. Let me know what your thoughts are on this idea and let me know if there are any questions about it. I would be more than happier to answer them!

 

Fix the hug post animation for goalies. I agree with mac. It's gotta be more smoother (still a nassive bubble for us) plus at times you will hit the hug post button then be stuck in the animation of it in the middle of the net. Completely unrealistic so if we could get that fixed that'd be great!

 

Game needs to be less gay.

I voted for those above as the most important and here is what i would like to see along with some other good ideas I've heard from the community

CONNECTION/SERVERS
1.) Add a Central Server, East/Central/West/Euro
2.) Last patch was fantastic fixed input delay and seemed to overall improve servers for everyone but more improvement is always better so if they can better it keep doing it

EASHL
1.) Bring Back OTP lobbies (mainly for LG)
2.) Make club challenges in regular lobby and make them ranked (two div levels apart)
3.) Custom Jerseys, all logos in the game with any colors and jersey type (we don't need our own logos to create, plus they could add that next yr)
4.) Allow us to chose arena (i would love for our home ice to be an international rink)

BUILDS
1.) Builds, more options or more variety of the builds

GOALIES
1.) Hug Post - make it so when you let go of the trigger you let go of the post, not having to press it again to let go
2.) Change the RT for Goalies so it is not both butterfly and the passing button so when Gs make a save they don't accidentally pass it out or old controls when grabbing post pass it out

HUT
1.) Allow for challenge with wagers of pucks and or players
2.) Allow us to see last price sold/ number available on our players when going through collections
3.) In collections, show all the available cards and have the ones we do not have dimmed or with a slash through them so we know who/what we need without having to go on a website to check
4.) Allow us to click on that player in the collection and search strictly for that player in the market right through the collections

GAMEPLAY
1.) Eliminate auto animations
- Auto pokes
- Auto reach
- Right stick dekes
a. Toe Drag

a. Stuck in shot animation after tipped or missed pass

3.) Tie-Ups in front of the net (I was never a fan of these but makes it very difficult to stop tip shots without it)

2.) Backing/Sponsorship of Pro Series @NugeTV
3.) Link with LeagueGaming like they did with VirginGaming when they had the Ea Sports Arena right on the menu, tracked wins losses stats everything right on the game @MCDONALD l19l this could be a huge one if done

 

one thing I haven't seen in this forum is I'd like them to bring back GM Connected, but they have to give it more effort this time thats really the main reason it failed in the other games.

 

Bring back lobbies, bring back GMC(possibly have an LMC) and let me customize my eashl player(not attributes)

No you can't, it's a closed event for certain people only.

 

I have soo many bright things to say to the devs tho.

 

Make the puck shadow color optional. In the scrums it's unrealistic for us to not know where the puck is because of a camera angle. quality of play suffers. maybe make it so the shadow disapears for G's if they are screened.

 

need custom camera back .not enough tilt in any of the presets.
custom music would be good to have again
