Any trade that involves a dankorectomy is by default a win for the team getting rid of him. While he has skill, he is well known to be a toxic, momentum-killing anchor that keeps a team mired in back-biting and recriminations.

Note that Chicago immediately turned around and dumped both Danky and another team chemistry killer on Rochester.

Charlotte clearly won this trade by securing a serviceable AHL defenseman while ridding itself of one of LG's top 3 locker room suicide bombers.

 

Texas didnt quite get a trape Juney and Arobzz were insta called up while I only have 4 at best availability. Pretty sure Dallas also gave up a 1st rounder to WPG as part of those deals. But its ok we have a CHL call up who was suppose to be the answer...oh thats right he went 0-3 with a -8.

It's still a steal when you consider if that move wasn't made Dallas would have lost their own players rather than those two. Also, Petry isn't that bad. Your teams offense barely scored in those games, you can't really blame the D when your offense takes the week off.
