Well my monitor is only like 15 inches though.. it's not to large so 1200 x 1024 is pretty small.. i get used to it though.. plus i like the extra "space".

Just adding onto the quote fun.. :)

I think i've seen them for around 500 on ebay.. kind of expensive. It depends if you get a flat panel or just a normal monitor. To bad i have no money.. :(

You can get a budget brand 19" CRT monitor for $149

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...58578&type=product&productCategoryId=cat01011

The flat panel monitors have pushed CRT monitor pricing through the floor.

I remember paying ~$400-500 for my pro series Viewsonic PF790 19" flat tube CRT monitor, but they are much more affordable now.

Ask a consumer electronics question, and I'll have an answer for you. That's what I'm here for. :D

Seriously though, there's no reason not to have a 19" CRT. They are dirt cheap. The less expensive models won't have very low dot pitch, or high refresh rates at the top resolutions, and they might not be perfectly flat, but if that doesn't bother you it's worth it to have the extra size. You'll still pay more for a pro-line model though, much like the difference between a standard tube TV and a flat tube TV, but if you don't have alot of sunlight in your computer room, the glare isn't too bad on the curved tubes.
