Mamba is back again but this time I'm just sipping a beer and scratching my head confused. Past week I have heard 100 different things in a 100 different ways next season is going to go. Are we adding another team? Y/N Are we roster dumping? Y/N Are we leaving things the same? Y/N Are we doing a Expansion Draft? Y/N As management I probably care about this a little more then most as every trade I've made this season was to prepare the team for next. With the deadline coming up teams must decide if they are sellers or buyers, and with all the confusing things I've heard from "entire roster being dumped" "reseting draft picks" "Everything back to square one" I'm left pondering did I throw this season without even knowing? It's frustrating trying to get a team ready for the unknown. I'm all for players with 0 season to be put into bidding and not being able to resign. unless they are suppose to go to rfa. And I've heard about rfa being taken out but, rfa is apart of it unless we have a season advance that it is being removed so we don't do trades where we could have taken a better deal for the short coming. So many tiny moving little pieces and one thing messes with another. Anyways Mamba rant over. Just figured I'd say my 2 cents and, what I'm sure many of you have been asking me. Curious to what everyone thinks should happen post it below. Personally for me I think an expansion draft would be really fun but it's kinda way to hard to do. I think we should just give Vegas the chance at a top 5 pick and let them figure it out like Vancouver did this season and they will be just fine.
Some good reads on the Xbox side http://leaguegaming.com/forums/index.php?threads/nhl-18-roster-reset.259380/ AND http://leaguegaming.com/forums/index.php?threads/vegas-expansion-draft-idea.259450/#post-1639796 I understand we aren't Xbox and we don't have all the seasons nor the player pool, etc etc etc but the posts have some good information.
How would roster reset be sick for owners who have been doing this +3 seasons building teams ? Anywho expansion draft would be sick Vegas would be a third line team for one season big whoop
Sloshy stepped down show some respect . Lol when ever I need something , they reply pretty fast. Maybe try a nice approach with them
You guys need to stop making these repetitive ass threads. The owners and staff are obviously figuring it out. When they have information they'll release it. Roster resets are stupid. They're usually only useful for new consoles being released. Even if there is a roster dump, it'll have no impact on what you should be doing now. If your team is good, you buy at the deadline. If your team sucks stock up on draft picks. If there is a roster wipe now you have 800 draft picks anyways or every team gets reset to their original picks. Who cares.
Each team protects X amount of players in a expansion draft. LV gets top pick each round of the draft. The end.
No. They'd be entered into the lottery with the same odds they had in real life. Lol. You don't just assign them the 1st overall pick. They also won't be doing an expansion draft.
No owner has any idea with what is going to happen hense the making of this thread. And quite honestly I don't even think any bogs know yet either. So it's still up in the air
You guys realize 80-90% of teams' rosters are turned over every season anyway? There is no reason for an expansion draft....give the team draft picks...bid well...and it's a playoff team... I'd take on the team np...but we all know how the league feels about that.
Once this season is near completion, and I have some more time to review ideas of what people think is best I'll be make any announcement. Vegas is coming, and the NHL schedule for S6 is completed already. That maybe released in the near future as well
