Waivers

You guys live for this game too much. Who gives a fuck just playing the video game and have fun.

 

Secondly if a team wants to waive players to have to play somewhere for a longer time than what their season carried, fucking let em....

 

Dear God this. I had no idea what I was getting into taking an emergency position in management, it is nothing but people yelling at me because they take the game too seriously.

Edit: To clarify what I had said in this post, I just get tired of people keeping issues like this alive longer than need be. After an issue like this is explained, stop beating the dead horse that is this topic and put your hands back on the controller. What happened with Cronkzy is settled and I had no real part in it. It was a decision by my NHL owner to waive him because he did not want to deal with the drama which follows him around, apparently: To keep dragging back me back into the fray for 3 pages when I have little to do with the situation hit a nerve and I lost my cool - I apologize.

 

Also, an update for those concerned: I have confirmed with my GM that it was NHL management that waived Cronkzy, not us. I don't know how they did it, though. See my post for my final thoughts on the subject, I am getting tired of talking about it.

I agree that people should have fun and I'm not laying blame on winston for his teams moves, however if you want to play a laid back style and not give a fuck there are plenty of places to do that (club, lesser leagues, otp), this is the foremost competitive league available to people so being competetive and maintaining some sort of competitive balance matters and shouldn't be all that surprising.

 

So what you are saying is that Nashville's management put a player on your team on waivers? Because there is no way possible for an AHL team to claim him off of NHL waivers. Which as an IR callup, he should have never been on waivers in the first place.

I'm not saying that you did anything wrong. What I'm saying is that the league isn't enforcing the rules as they are written. They expect everyone to follow the rules, but yet there is no one making sure that they are followed. I would assume that someone from league staff had to process the waiver. But then again, maybe it's just on the merit system.

 

It's got nothing to do with that. My main objection is that this type of situation should have never been allowed. It's just another example in the long line of things that go on. This just happen to be the one tht was made light of. Again, I have no problem with teams doing what is best for their players. I would have wanted the same thing if my team wasn't making the playoffs. The difference is that this type of situation is against te rules that are written in the constitution. It has nothing to do with me not liking te player. Hell, I don't even know him. With your line of thought, might as well let Bishop and Gesus back on your team.

How original. What you people don't get is that this isn't about Nashville or Milwaukee. It's about the bigger picture. I don't care that Syracuse got a good player. More power to them for being on top of things and making their team better. What I do care about is that rules are followed. If they are not, why are they there?

Whats even more ironic is that it was me who got sent to Calgary last season to make room for him on abbotsford. and now he's on my team again and that could happen for a second straight season to me. probably wont happen but wouldn't that be some shit lmao

If you're season was ending 4-6 weeks early im sure you would wish in your head that you were elsewhere or waived to play CHL for fun/given a chance to play on another team.... You say no you're a liar cus clearly you all live for this shit, so you'd wanna keep playing if you could.

I love how everything always comes back to "You live for it" arguments. What does that even mean? Does it mean that I have no life, no job, no family? All I have is NHL? You caught me, I have nothing else. LOL *sarcasm
