Top 3
1. Tottenham Hotspur
Owner @NinoRT9 bragged all week about how easy this season's bidding was, and even though he was the last team to fill out 16, his roster shows it. The Spurs were a quiet squad in bidding, but with the help of GM @lL A lK lE and AGM @Roon l 44 l, has put together a team of top talent. Bagging two solid goalkeepers in @Itz Hotpants and @l Steve McG l, the Spurs' back line and midfield boasts names like @Texas Tenant, @FiveNakedNinjas, @xRav l10l and @IMMORTAL BRUCEY. @McCullough l 9, @iCaSHSbMg and @GoldenPandaDude round out the solid picks up top. A team that may be easily overlooked, expect Tottenham to finish high in the table this season.

2. Liverpool
Assisted by his Unlucky management, SovereignMamba has landed a number of big ACL names many LGFA owners may not have recognized. @Pridemaster on defense, @DeToX l 22 l, @EcF Griezmann and @Lovelady will look to help a solid team of Reds compete for a title in Season 8. The only question for Liverpool is if their low-priced goalkeepers, @JimmY x JoneS at $1.25 million and @Symbieh at $750,000, will live up to the team's expectations.

3. Middlesbrough
A great surprise in bidding, Middlesbrough Owner @Jabo x 42 easily had the best bidding compared to other first-time owners in LGFA. Jabo's biggest snags were @TheePastorDave, Playmaker Award winner in season 7, and @Unlucky Diggs, another formidable member of the Unlucky crew. Middlesbrough also picked up a stout, Team of the Season winner in @ORod80, and one of the league's most consistent netminders in @Copy of Apollo. However, consistency at all positions is where the Smoggies may be choked.

When it comes to bidding, many returning owners who finished mid-table will change things up in an effort to move up in the standings. This was not the case for Chelsea Owner @Draxler l 10 l. Chelsea's roster is largely similar to Season 7, which saw the Blues finishing 5th of 8 in the EPL. Along with @XPrEttYB0Y818X and @x CHAPARITO x returning as management, @xxxHERCULESxxxx and @x IYI 0 N 3 Y z return to the team. Other players on the squad, expect for @RustyRocket56, are on the mediocre side of the skill scale. It's not impossible for Chelsea to finish in the top half of the table this season, but it will not be easy.

13. Manchester City
City landed a few big names in @DosXeP1C up top and @marino swag and @LegendaryFig V4 in the back, but the biggest question for the Citizens is its high-priced goalkeeper, @The Worthy 1, who went for an incredible $12 million. For the number of netminders available in bidding, and the quality of some that went rather cheap, the overpayment on Worthy is what earned City the No. 13 spot in the bid rankings.

14. Manchester United
If history is any indication, teams who base bidding on picking up friends over top players do not do well, and the Red Devils will have a tall task in rewriting that history this season. @Python x 77 may be the owner, but @ANGELSKYWALKER3 clearly ran United's bidding, contracting players like @ll Versace ll, @carlos18112, @Ki11eRp4nDa07, @ELxMASKAxBRON and his own brother, @KILLSWI7CH69. Even more troubling for Manchester is the lack of any primary defenders on the roster. Even in blind bidding, Man U put $6 million on @U90 l Robben, a midfielder that will move some of the "friends of Angel" down the depth chart. @xl bearjuden lx had better invest in a Mt. Everest-sized backpack to carry this team defensively. The best thing Angel did in bidding was making @itzrv9 overpay for @Icy Cold Veins, aka Demon aka Krysalia.

Commissioner: ‘Ties are too unAmerican, and this is America’

In the wake of two NFL games ending in ties in the last two week, LGFA Commissioner @Brisan66 has decided to give FIFA a leg up by eliminating ties in league play.
“Ties are against the spirit of competition,” he said. “They are too unAmerican, and this is America, by God. A draw is like kissing your sister, and no one in the league wants to do that, expect maybe @Bitetto02. He’s into weird stuff.”
The decision comes in the wake of a 6-6 tie between the Seahawks and Cardinals last week, and a 27-27 tie between the Redskins and Bengals today, a game played in London.
“It’s ironically fitting that the most American game ever, football, plays a game in London and it ends in an unAmerican tie,” Brisan said. “Even more ironic is that Cincinnati had a chance to win, but missed a field goal. Missing a kick in England is punishable by an automatic trade and contract with Manchester United.”
With ties outlawed, the league had to come up with a way to break scores that end even after 90 minutes — and this is where FUT comes in.
“We could just have teams play a golden goal like in the World Cup and Champions League finals, but that seems too easy,” he said. “Instead, to settle ties, owners of each team will play one another in an Ultimate Team game. Better shore up your rosters in FUT, fellas.”
Owners across the league balked at the news, especially Bournemouth Owner @itzrv9.
“Ohhhh noooo,” he said. “This idea is fat and nobody likes it. But if this is true, I hope my team ties [Chelsea Owner] @Draxler l 10 l every time so I can show him what the beautiful game looks like with my all-bronze team.”
@NinoRT9, owner of Tottenham, said he’s excited to play Ultimate Team games for a chance at points.
“I have Ronaldo, Lukaku, Costa, Fellani, Mertesacker and De Gea on my team,” he said. “And I’m fucking elite. I’ll just call it right now, Tottenham is going undefeated this year.”
Brisan said anyone with complaints about the new rule may file in the action center, where they will be immediately dismissed and laughed at..
