    ********************** RIP ****************************

Luc Bourdan Was A great Prospect. I am lucky enough to have had Season's tix last year for the Canucks, And see this guy play in his official Rookie Year. Luc was a Great Player, Teammate, Son and Brother :) This is a tragedy to ALL Canuck fans and I'm sure as weel in his Hometown. Bad things ALWAYS happen to the BEST OF PEOPLE. This guy was unbelieveable with the Comunity and the Young Kids in this City of Vancouver. He was the guy always hanging around to shake that kids hand, Sign an autograph or even going to the extent of going back inside the dressing room to bring a Stick for a less fortunate kid, In which it was his 1st game he'd been too, And could of been the last due to his medical condition.

He was a TRUE CLASS ACT and I'm sure with time he could and WOULD HAVE turned into a Great hockey player with a ton of respect from his Opponents he plays on a nightly basis. He was well liked here in our community and in the dressing room.

I'm sure I speak on behalf of ALL OF LG when I say, Our deepest Condolences go out to the Family, Friends and Teammates of "Lucky' Luc Bourdon..

MAY HE REST IN PEACE, And look over ALL the other young players who decide to take risks in their lives weather it be Drinking and Driving to Riding Motorbikes :)

WE WILL ALL MISS YOU HERE IN VANCOUVER !!!!!!!!!

i fuken cried when i saw this at school

anyways i'll never forget him. He had a bright future ahead of him, he had the potential to become an allstar defenceman. I remember being in the front row at the World Juniors and he absolutely pounded the s*** out of some norweigan player against the glass, i'll never forget his first nhl goal on the powerplay. Ritchie takes the puck from the right and switches sides with Luc and passes it across and Luc rips it in the back of the net.. We'll miss ya Luc

    R.I.P Luc

Any more info on this story? Was just wondering what the cause of the accident was. If he was wearing a helmet. How long had he been riding? Was he wearing a helmet? Being a Motorcyclist myself, always hate to see poeople's life cut short that way. Sad to say, most of the time the motorcyclist does nothing wrong. It's normally the cagers fault.

I just started riding and man you couldnt be more right about it not being the motorcyclist fault.. Never seen so many people that dont pay attention.. i know I Look goofy but i have a white helmet.. Just think it does a better job of showing up to people..

I took a safety course so I wouldnt have to actually take teh driving test.. and the instructor said to take alook when you come to an intersection and see how many people are actually Driving their vehicle. He said almost half are talking on the phone, doign their makup and etc.. And I have to think hes right..

I saw it on the news. He ran into a semi. He got his licence 2 weeks before the crash and his bike 2 days before. They said his inexperience riding got him into the crash.

I'm sorry that is not correct,

He got his Bike license 2 weeks ago and he bought a Suzuki GSX-R1000 10 2 days before the accident. Yes some inexperience may have contributed to the tragedy, But it was the 70 Km per hour winds that help push him over the center line into the semi's path :(

Yeah, I also took the MSF safety course, highly recommend to anybody thinking about riding. Not only is it cheap but it keeps you from having to tak the riding class at the BMV.

As for the cagers (what riders around me call people in cars), it amazing just how little attention people pay when driving. Everyboyd's got something bigger and better going on in their world.

Yeah, I'd be guessing inexperience paid a huge factor. Was he wearing a helmet? Unfortunatly, I don't see any logical reason anyone should be buying a R1000 a couple weeks after getting their license. How those things are even legal are beyond me.
