You haven't told me brother not that I believe you. I have yet to play you so you may have some mad skills however I have yet to have Ricky run all over me by other players, even when I lose so we will have to see. We have a date Week 10. I have the utmost confidence is my defensive play calling.
You can't stop him you can only contain him............Wait? I haven't found out how to do that either.:? Oh well
very true man I have had some people shut him down but that is why I also have recievers. I am looking forward to are matchup.
4-3, fan def lineman, pick a play that puts OLB in zone coverage to the flats, and control one of your DE's on the play. Ricky WILL break some tackles, the key (as with bringing down any good RB) is that you have more than one defender in the area to take him down. Usually, it takes one guy to trip him up, and another to wrap up the tackle and bring him down.
..unless we already do. Anyway, Ricky is a beast but I have decent coverage guys (not the caliber Miami has though), 1 awesome LB, 1 average LB and two excellent DE's. I am looking forward to so many matchups but this is one of my top 5 games. I consider a RB "contained" in this game at 100 yards or less and I don't give up many 100+ yard games. Last one was to Indigo (Schlesinger, of course) but I have figured out how to neutralize that play. I like playing the guys here a lot. I think I pick up something new every game I play here. I wish I could pick up some hockey skills though.
I use bear alot too, but it sucks for long passing plays (not much help in the secondary). I use a few plays in bear that shut down Indigo's running game pretty well, although all it takes is one play that you mis-called on and a good RB is gone. My favorite is to abuse the outside with pitches, sweeps, screen passes, HB flat type of passes... then after the def. softens up and starts to spread away from the middle, call a 4 WR, 1RB set and run a draw with Marshall through an open mid-field. This game is all about playcalling, which makes it alot of fun. I think I might start experimenting with different teams and different playbooks in Exh. mode though, I hate showing my regular season competition too much in games that don't count.
Exactly. Exhibition for me is against people not on my schedule. I might play them with another team though.
i prefer the standard 4-3 of the Jets (i loved the Ravens 3-4!) - but lately i've been mixing in some bear. the idea of the Bear is to get more players into the box, to stuff the run, right?
