Since all we're getting is the exact same game but like tuner patches every new copy does it make sense for us a community that buys it to play 6s to pay $89.99 or if LG were to start new releases after the new year where the price drops down to at least 50% less. So game comes October 14th at $89.99 but we wouldn't start a season on NHL 23 til after the new year where it'll be cheaper to buy as the price usually drops significantly after a few months. NHL 22 would finish right before the Xmas holidays and then you would start up NHL 23 Mid January & run it til the end of the year as an example.
But it all depends if they have a sale around the holidays cause they still have NHL 22 at the same prices a year later but free with EA Play so i guess this thread is pointless. Just remember the game always dropped in price as the months went by.
Not the whole community buys NHL solely for 6s. Even if LG did delay the season until January, we’re all crackheads for the game; we’d buy it beforehand regardless.
if u dont wanna buy the game at full price then dont, but dont expect lg to cater to those who wanna wait 4 months for a cheaper nhl
I couldn’t even imagine how dead this game would be if we were still playing 22 when 23 came out. I kind of get where you’re coming from but this is supposed to be a “competitive” league so if you aren’t willing to spend the money for the new game you’re probably in the wrong place.
This post was mainly done cause I was amazed to see how many people hate the game & complain about the same game being released each year with a few minor tweaks, by us not throwing full value at the game maybe ea would wake up and create a better game
Bro I’m probably going too spend a extra 30$ so I can get the game early! I’m going through withdrawals hard counting down the days like I’m waiting for my welfare check
There’s a sale every Black Friday and during Christmas iirc, just skip a szn of LG if you really wanted to buy it for cheaper. I don’t think Lg season rules will ever change dependent on the cost of the game so it’s a waste of time to really talk about it as you can see from the responses above. Also the downtime between szn’s allows people to grind out perks. Totally get where you are coming from though, I used to always buy chel late but only bought it early last year because of LG.
