Post Count Ranking

Could we get a sports related post count ranking?

It could be like
tee-baller
little league
major leaguer
all star
hall of famer
legend

you know anything like that would be cool

 

taking ideas from fellow website XBLL are we?

xbl leagues has it military related like

0-24 post ---- private
25-99 post ---- corporal
100-199 post ---- sargeant
200-??? post ---- sargeant first class
???-??? post ---- firt leiutenant
???-??? post ---- major

 

It's right in your phpbb admin panel at the bottom. It should be a thing called rankings.

What happens is this... when a user gets say 25 posts he gets one star. When he gets 50 posts he gets two stars. When he gets 100 he gets 3. In the admin panel you decide how many posts to gain a rank.

You can get the rank images at www.phpbbhacks.com. I'm guessing this board is run off phpbb although the copyright is taken off. Why did you take the thing off the bottom? It looks phpbb to me.. :?

Many forums do this.. you can see an example over at XBLL or teamxbox or xbox addict i think. A lot of forums have them.

 

I like the sports related theme, maybe we could keep it general though where it would apply to any team sport (ie. little league, tball, minor leaguer refer primarily to baseball):


Hall of Fame 2000+
All Star 1000-1999
Starter 500-999
Rookie 200-499
Amateur 0-199

of course if u did end up doing this it might be wise to give the first ranking at 100 (seeing as how most people here are in the 200-400 range already ) and then have it something like
100 1st rank
500 2nd rank
750 3rd rank
1000 4th rank
1500 5th rank
2000 6th rank

etc

3000 is hella posts. We won't see that until XBox2.

Although, some of you forum spammers might reach that 3000 mark before the end of this year. :twisted:

Haha.. yeah I don't really care for it to much. The members tend to enjoy it though.

I think you knew some coldfusion though.. all code is similar in ways i suppose. heh.. anyways good job.
