With new avail incoming of mandatory 5/9 I was wondering how many people in this community work shift work. how this change will affect you or not affect you. I know especially with COVID a lot of us have picked up new jobs or are working different hours than we normally would. Do you agree with the 5/9 mandatory Are you against it? do you believe it should be more or less? I know me personally some weeks I’m 9/9 and some weeks I’m 3/9 some I’m 6/9 depending on my schedule at work.
When LG moved to 3 nights per week as opposed to the old Sun-Wed, it made the 4/9 availability requirement essentially become 3/9. I'd say a large majority of teams tend to schedule 1 whole line per night to get all 3 of their games out of the way. It's rare to schedule a player for that single game availability because of this plus the fact many will cry that they have to hop on to play 1 LG game. Making it 5/9 I think is much more helpful to a manager for creating the schedule which many of us know is probably the one of the worst parts of managing. If you're a 3/9 player you have to take the risk that your manager won't take action on it, or just be the manager and create the schedule around your 3/9. At the end of the day, if you're a manager who makes the schedule, I'd be praising the lord. If you're a player with shit avail, I'd be hoping I dont get called on it.
There are other things to play if u can't provide the needed availability for LG. LG will offer the CBJ on Wednesdays, FNP and SNP. Or leagues
