Pass Assist

Patch 1.0 for NHL17 give us a new feature of being able to personally tune our own pass assist. The media team would like to know what build do you use, considering builds factor in on the passing with their own personal pass skill, along with what you have been setting you pass assist at. A lot of people are tinkering with it to find what works for them and I'm wondering if the builds and the assist rating coincide or if everyone is using the same assist on all of their builds or changing it whenever they use different builds

I used Jumbo Playmaker at 30% - haven't really noticed any issues with it. I use the same in offline modes like Franchise and I'm used to it. The default 100% feels like the game tries to force my passes to certain people no matter where I aim (i.e. dropping to the trailing forward on a break-in - seems like it will always force the pass to the defenseman at the point instead on 100)

Tried two games at 50. Seems decent as a two way D, but feels weird with the offensive D. Probably gonna try 25 next.

 

Puck moving D man. I have it at 30.

I use 0% like a real man.

 

20 on TWD, probably drop to 0 and be @Sir Batten 's real man

 

Where do you change the pass assist at?

 

Controller settings.

 

60% on DFD.

 

0% and have no issues passing, minus some of the short passes. but then again most of the time i experienced that was bc my teammate turned before the puck got to them.

 

75-80 TWF

 

I suck at passing so I've had to set my pass assist a little higher than it seems others have theirs at. I been using 70-85 range and have felt comfortable with it.

 

0% as of today and I saw a significant increase of the puck going where I want it too at the speed I intended on sending the puck. 1 less thing EA can control as far as I'm concerned. #Gamesucks

TWF using at 0%. Seems effective for more area passes and chip ins, less effective for forcing. Definitely recommend it for players who like to have more control in their accuracy of leading a guy, passing to the backhand, slowing/speeding down passes, etc.

Also kind of obvious, but I don't notice difference in saucer passes whether pass assist is on or not.

 

Mine is currently at 73 for a Power Fwd, but I'm experimenting on lower levels still

 

Anywhere from 40 - 50% using Jumbo Playmaker and Power Forward
