Quick question, can you do a 2-2 match on live with this game? Like doubles in tennis?

that is a good question I havent played it on live yet so will have to try that out when I get home. the one thing that I do like about this game is that like in outlaw golf where you beat you caddie to break out of a bad game. In outlaw volleyball it isnt your partner that you beat like I originally thought. No you actually go under the net and beat your opponent. So far I am really impressed with the game play. There looks like there is alot of stuff to do in the game to unlock everything. Then you add in the live play and the future downloads of new players and courts. I think this game will be well worth the money.

From the teamxbox review posted at the beginning of this thread:

"Multiplayer action will allow up to 4 players to take in the game at once in some 2 on 2 competition."

It doesn't clarify if that's 4 seperate XBox's joining into one game, or 2 people on one couch, taking another 2 other people on the same XBox (like we have in NHL2k3).

    Here's IGN's review:

    http://xbox.ign.com/articles/403/403171p1.html?fromint=1

    And another review:

    http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/561471.asp

    Edit:

Just read the IGN review. Bad news:

"Online play will only be between two Xboxes, but will allow two players on each Xbox so you can play two against two. "

Does your copy have that scratch?

I'm going back up to Best Buy this afternoon to buy it.

Got it from Best Buy. They opened 4 copies for me, all had the scratch. I said what the hell and bought it anyway. If they get a new batch, I can always exchange it for a fresh one.

Watching a movie tonight, and I have some scheduled RTCW practice after that, but I'll be up late if anyone wants to play some Volleyball.

I played the heck out of this game yesterday in single player/tour mode and started unlocking characters and venues.

That made it much more fun online and I played there for a couple hours last night.

Online is fun if you find someone as good as you are. Newbies get spanked fairly easily (my first game online I didn't win a point, which is why I hit single player immediately after that before returning online).

There's 3 of us with the game now, hopefully more will get it around here as it's alot of fun for something different.
