Happy the Devils regained Brian Rolston. I could care less about Holik, but it will be nice to have his size and faceoff abilities.

Rumor is Tampa bay is shopping Dan Boyle, and I hope that Lou Lamoreillo can work something out cause we need one more strong d-man.

Swedish left wing Markus Naslund, who played in Vancouver for 12 years is the newest Ranger, inking a one year, $4.5-million deal. They also added defenseman Dmitri Kalinin from Buffalo.

I hope they can get a guy like Boyle. we also need to drop white and rupp. With the additions of holik and rolston, the team is getting pretty ancient. Maybe lou should shop elias for some young talent (clear cap space too). We need a legitiment backup goalie and Jordan Parise isn't ready yet. BTW, I'm very excited about the return of Frankenstein!

And I think I read somewhere they did not resign Jordan Parise, or didn't make him an offer or something like that. They didn't say they didn't want him back, but they did say he wasn't inked.

 

Devils should trade for Huet even though he just got signed. He's making more than Marty Brodeur LOL!! I joke, but maybe John Grahame, Joceyln Thibault or Micheal Leighton. Then there's always the option of trading for Khabibulin (he's on the block) or taking Emery.

So, the Devils should trade Marty? Only Grahame & Leighton would be considered as backups, and neither of them are better than Weekes as it is.

We need scoring and D right now, not a goalie

 

I love how just last night on tsn there was a big story on how Jagr was going to take a page from Sundins book and take his time with his decision.

Anyways, the Rags are for sure a much improved team now, even with all the losses they had, they picked up scoring, speed, youth, vet leadership, and solid, if not great, defense.

 

Boyle might be following Blake and heading to SJ.

he was talking about a backup. not getting rid of marty. Weekes is garbage and we need a goalie that can play 20 games a year. Marty's getting older and needs some breaks during the season so he can be well rested for the playoffs. I think our scoring will be ok with the new additions and I think lou will pick up another. But, we really need a puck moving defenseman....I hope he makes a move on that.
