what's everyone's opinions on the awards given out tonight? i think there weren't any that they truly messed up on. they did a good job in my opinion. was happy to see henrik win the hart. would have been hotly debated had they chosen to give it to either AO or crosby, but i think henrik deserved it more anyways. also, glad to see theodore win the masterton. that was pretty incredible for him to do what he did
Henrik deserved the hart. Ovie won the Ted Lindsay which would mean a hell of alot more to me than the hart.
What's so incredible about playing hockey? That's the extent of what he did. His kid died and he played hockey.
And he didn't even play at a high calibre. Inured alot of the season, and was a big question mark if he would even be a starter.
Ummmm, really? We aren't talking about the most awkward part of the night? Alexander's speech getting cut off and having the guy from 'The Daily Line' walk out and get ready to start talking while AO is just sitting there talking. I guess thats just my opinion so far. I'm having a hard time finishing the show because it was cut up into 10-15 pieces on my DVR.
the music in between awards is awful and just wastes time. but seeing which players are recognized and seeing what they have to say is worth while.
The jokes the the skits are aweful, and the players usually say the same cliche thing. Unless it's ovie, he'll say something out of the norm but you can hear that on a regular basis.
