Analysis

Boston’s Owner l--Chief--l and GM Soccaplaya11 have built the best offensive squad of the eastern conference. Unlike the real life Bruins, it’s core is made of highly offensive thumbs gifted players that doesn’t require grit to win.

Their defensive unit isn’t the most spectacular but should get the job done on a daily basis. Their biggest weakness is their lack a proven #1 goaltender. However, this weakness should be overcomed by the team’s offensive depth. The Bruins could easily work out a trade or two in order to get that #1 goaltender and another solid defenseman if they feel the need to.

On paper, this forward group looks unreal. First overall draft pick l-Bone__Crusha-l as well as Kraz18 will have all the necessary tools and support to kill it in their rookie season. Maurice Richard winner x Loops 19 x couldn't of asked for a better environment than the Bruins' to repeat his exploits (59 goals).

Expect a lot of high scoring games from this team.

Analysis

Promoting Trio_Bigmac- to General Manager is the best move Owner Niner80rice have done in the off-season. Together they’ve constructed a dangerous team filled with a bunch of good frenchies and 500k$ players. They saved 3,25m$ by letting former overpaid GM Schwartz_x9 (Star_71-) go into the biddings and winning his rights at a cheaper rate giving them the opportunity to spend 10,25M$ on a clutch guy like JClaus33 (whom they should move from LW to C). Their forward group is balanced especially because of dominant 500k$ centerman Alexdrum100 who is entering his last season of a 3-year deal with Columbus. Their 1st and 2nd lines will win most of the time while their less talented 3rd line should be given enough support by either one of their 3 very capable defenseman pair to pull out a couple of surprising wins.

The addition of experienced #1 goaltender Biglambers will give this team even more chance to win every night he’s on the ice. The Blue Jackets aren’t invincible on paper but the fact that they will have a fun time playing together will enhance the team’s performance as a whole.

FLORIDA PANTHERS

Analysis

Florida was one of those teams that surprised everyone last season. Their success were due to a high powered offense with the help of a hot goalie. Returning owner Kingclutchlx77l isn’t in the wrong to use basically the same strategy this season. Season 3 Panthers can count on a skilled and balanced group of forwards combined with an above average defensive squad.

The Panthers’ defense is about as good as last season’s although this time their forwards are far superior defensively. At the blue line, Xbox Dman ProSeriesFrank is surrounded by a bunch of low key players whom hold their own but still have things to prove. Centermen XxJust4theshowxX’s and Voltep’s positioning and defensive ability will be the determining factor on why this team will be considered a Stanley Cup contender.

After being on weaker rosters during the past 2 seasons, GM Jeff0012 will finally be able to let it all out. We should witness his rebirth while he rewrites the LGHL PSN records book.

Make sure you don’t let neither Hriiz nor Kingclutchlx77l host when you’re the visiting team.

Analysis

Owner NeutralityEleven and GM NH4JP both had a very busy off-season which led to a Pittsburgh team stacked from the blue line. The forward group doesn’t look intimidating on paper because of the new faces. Unlike many other teams the Penguins doesn’t have that ‘’big time game 7 lineup’’ or that ‘’big name clutch forward’’. What this team have is the best defensive core of the eastern conference as well as the best goaltending duo in the league. This team will dress up a brick wall every night whether it's Vezina winner KingKonz- or veteran zBernatchez.

The offensive unit is made of a mix of veterans and hopefuls picked up in the draft. Rookies Shawntheboss_1, Girgs28, ll_larkin_ll and StrengthLegacySr will have the deserved opportunity to show what they are made of and should end up being key players.

Expect a lot of one goal margin wins. The Pens will be frustrating to play against and they should get better as the season progress.

Analysis

New Jersey went from the second worst team to a top 5 eastern team over a period of 2 weeks. Owner Coltcrazy and GM Ivegotyour6 rebuilt this team from scratch by winning high character skilled players. These character players are at their best when the team is winning but might cause some trouble during a losing streak.

The Devils offensive unit looks deep on paper and especially if JBrodie21 can play as good as he used to. SebCrakPot is definitly the biggest steal of the draft. The money is well distributed between the forwards but poorly between the defensemen. Their left side on defense is weak. Unless one of their RDs can play LD expect their opponents to exploit that weak side. There is plenty of time to fix this weakness though.

#9 overall draft pick rookie goaltender lx Jonez xl who has made a name for himself in the chat box during the off season will have the opportunity to show the world how elite he really is...or was it all talk?

Analysis

Owner h3ad--v--sh0t and GM Chaskin12 followed former Tampa Bay Lightning owner’s Sloshy building recipe. Just like season 2, this team is built around a solid game 7 first line composed of xbox forwards alongside of a capable group of defensemen, although nothing comparable to last season’s defense.

The Lightning has a top-tier defense but a middle of the pack offense in comparison with the 15 other teams in the eastern conference. Their goaltending duo made of Asleeptech and zeffster is also doubtful. To compensate this lack of offensive and goaltending depth the management should separate the 1st line during the regular season and be active on the trade market.

Their defensive play as a whole as well as the individual talent of DDW4, Lil Hazi vert (Hayes) and PSN newcomer Sweet 9 Lou 84 should be enough to propel the team into clinching a playoffs spot even if the managers decides to make to trade at all.

Analysis

Carolina is all about that speed. The team’s managers are without a doubt firm believers of the ‘’the best defense is offense’’ football motto. Owner @Raz-Orr built his team using the same strategy that made his team successful last season.

Their group of forwards is almost identical to last season’s with the addition of GM AAli-21 and rich2k8. Overall the offense is better and more balanced but their defense leave something to be desired. Their defensemen will have a hard time breaking out of the defensive zone. The Hurricanes will be the team that causes the most turnovers and the most icings of all the ‘’playoffs’’ teams’’. therefore the team that allows the most shots on goal. On the other hand they will be the team with the most breakaways opportunities.

The Canes will be active on the trade market trying to acquire defense. Until change occurs, both experienced goaltenders sparkplug87 nic and Bmidg2121 will be challenged like never before. Expect a lot of high scoring games.

Analysis

Montreal clinched the 7th seed with 93 points last season despite everyone believing they would be rotting at the bottom of the standings. Owner @theyallfloat and GM @sir_soopy have done a wonderful job during the off-season. Both the team’s offense and defense are improved from last season but their goaltending remains doubtful after only spending the minimum amount allowed on 2 goalies.

The Canadiens’ offensive unit has a good depth despite not having any ‘’superstar’’ forwards. Xbox defensemen turned forwards @v Sloshy and @Foote should have an immediate impact on the success of the team by helping out a slightly better than average defensive squad.

Expect close and low scoring games from the Habs. They won’t be blowing out teams often but they will accumulate enough wins to earn a playoffs spot for the second season in a row. This team shoudn't be underestimated anymore.

Analysis

Seasons come and goes and Washington’s rosters never looks intimidating on paper. We have to give the management the benefit of the doubt though. Owner Untuchabl and GM Explicit812 always seems to find ways to win no matter what. They have yet to miss the spring dance.

They have a well balanced group of forwards despite spending 6,25m$ too much for ChyzNasty. The majority of their players are returning from past seasons and they already know coach Untuch’s trapping game and gritty dump and chase.system. Drafting l8l_Nik_l6l 60ish overall was one of the biggest steal of the draft. He should be the reason why the 3rd line win a few games this season.

The Capitals only spent 9m$ for this group of defensemen. The team’s defensive system won’t be able to make up for the grand lack of talent at the blue line. This will be the reason why they will miss the playoffs for the first time in their history.

Despite everything, this team will still be annoying to play against therefore still difficult to beat.

Analysis

To everyone’s surprise, Detroit owner Rehanek and GM FR0BE 8 were only able to build a middle of the pack team. They’ve wasted the potential to build a top 5 team by doing a poor bidding job. This team is one of the only team in the east that spent a lot more money on defense than offense (18,5m$ compared to 11,25m$).

The Wings’ offensive unit is one of the worse in the east as we speak. They will have a hard time burying the puck in the back of the net when Rehanek and the snake Gwalila (JoPz) will be watching games from the press box. The team’s solid defensive group and #1 goaltender Mollet_29 will have to carry the workload until the management find a way to bring in some quality offensive depth.

Expect Detroit managers to take full control of the AHL bidding to try and win quality NHL caliber 2nd and 3rd liners and possibly trade some defense for offense via the trade market.

Analysis

The Maple Leafs can count on one of the best offense but also one of the worst defense in the east. Owner Budz_780 has been building his teams the exact same way for 3 consecutive seasons now. If only he was more inclined to spend a couple millions on proven elite defensemen then he could build a cup contender team.

Toronto is the team that spent the less money on defense (9m$) in the conference and probably in the entire league as well and yet the management still found a way to overspend on a rookie defenseman who would be a 3rd liner on most of other teams.

Their 1st and 2nd lines should be able to bury enough goals to counter the lack of talent on the blue line and help the team finish the season with a record slightly over 0,500. Expect high scoring game like (8-7 wins) results until the the the Leafs managers invest in defense.

Analysis

Ottawa owner @Leblondl77 and GM JDForthy have built a not-so-spectacular but overall well balanced team that could end up being the cinderella team of the conference if the team is well managed during the entire season.

Other than the fact that they only have one right winger, the Senators offensive squad doesn’t look bad at all on paper. Each of their lines have the potential to bring home a fair amount of W’s. They will also be able to rely on a surprisingly available Dankchank to shutdown the other team’s big lineups. Their experienced goaltending duo made of Flight-Airline and XdarksparkX should make their average group of defensemen look good half of the time.

Ottawa is a ''hit or miss’’ team. Expect owner Leblondl77 to clean the house if things don’t go his way. Also : J_Rose_19 is the fucking best.

Analysis

The Islanders' owner @sazer15 and GM @toslick have built a team that could surprise more than couple of guys here. This team is filled with a bunch of low key players - overpriced or not - that should get the job done on most nights.

This group of forwards is gritty and balanced especially if Sam11stern finds a way to be available for his 3 games a week and doesn’t quit. Their underrated 1st and 2nd lines have the talent to win at least half of their games.

Their defense is their weakness despite having injected 16m$ on it. There’s not one pairing that is capable enough to shut down most of the top teams’ 1st lines. League wide top 5 goaltender Alonzi401 will end up being the most valuable player on this team as he should steal a dozen or more games by himself

Expect this gritty NYI team to battle hard for every W's they'll earn. If they don't improve during the season they will finish the season with a .500 record.

Analysis

Even though NYR owner Jetup91 and GM paigeisradd distributed their money equally between their team’s offense and defense their group of forwards distinguishingly lack skills. There won’t be much offense generation outside of their 1st line and LeeMalvo.

The Rangers have a potentially good group of defensemen. Each one of them can hold their own and should offer good individual performances every night. Rookie @Greeno1822 and veteran @pucku33 will make up a solid pair capable of shutting down most team’s best lines.

There is not much this management will be able to do via the trade market to improve their offense other than trading one of their top 2 defenseman. This inflexibility should be the main reason why this team will end up at the bottom of the standings.

Analysis

Owner FALK and GM x11_Yzmurs took the reign of a decimated defending stanley cup champions team and built a bottom of the standing team focused on defense. There are only 4 players remaining from last season’s roster. Most of last season's champions' contracts were expired and a couple of them accepted managerial position elsewhere in the league.

Other than having one of the best goaltending duo in the league in JTowNE41 and nochance85 and a respectable group of defensemen, this team doesn’t have much else to offer. Scoring goals will be a rare thing in Buffalo until the management brings in more offense.

Expect that 3rd line (bongboy, hightimes, crack-mike) to fail the team's annual drug test.

PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

Analysis

Philadelphia owner Skeymour and GM Real_deal18 have built a team that should finishes the season in the bottom of the conference standing. Although, the current roster is an improvment from last season’s. Winning any game, any night will be a huge challenge for the season 3 Flyers.

Their 1st line is good but not great. Their 2nd and 3rd lines are filled with careerist AHL players. Their goaltending duo is inexperienced therefore doubtful. On the other hand their group of defensemen isn’t bad at all.

It will only be a matter of time before their best players start requesting to be traded elsewhere one after the other. If the Flyers doesn’t prove us wrong, expect the management to clean the house in order to collect the most draft picks possible at the trade deadline.​

There was a trade made for the 63rd pick, where Washington selected him for us and he will be dealt after bidding.

 

You did your homework, quite thorough JP well done. Your in depth analysis is appreciated and seems pretty spot on for the most part. Pittsburgh will definitely be in the top 3 however, and Boston, despite their offensive firepower, lack the overall depth to finish on top.
