it was never private. They had been running off of XBLRacing.com for a while, using their forums to host NHL tournaments. Tris10 branched out, and supplied the cash, and with a little help created this site. It's been public since day one. It was just a lot... smaller back then. When I first joined in Sept '03, it was like a small town. Everybody knew everybody. Now its like a big city, I don't know who 3/4 of the people here are.
