MVP BASEBALL 2004 PR http://xbox.ign.com/articles/473/473969p1.html Pretty cool features. I wanna try the Base Running the most . HERE's what I thought was a very cool picture, I hope ESPN MLB has this .
There uniforms look like metal, way too shiny. I pick up MVP last year because its pitching and throwing controls. It nice to have some skill in pitching the just hitting a button. I hope MVP will be on Xbox live, but probably not.
Yeah, MVP was my favorite baseball game last year. I'll pick it up for the PC again so I can play it online there. No way will it be on XBL. Maybe Madden 2005 will be the first EA title on XBL, but probably nothing before then (unless they get a deal ironed out very very quickly).
I think I will pick up MVP for the PC as well for online play. It's too bad EA and MS can't get on the same page. I like the way MVP looked last year compared to WSB and it looks great this year. It seems as though EA wasn't done last year with making game improvements. I hope the hitting isn't like ASB; I don't care for that game too much.
Since I will be buying MVP for the PC this year, what graphics cards are recommned considering I will most likely only play a few sports games on my PC? I was looking at the ATi 9600 (pro and xt) but not really sure which one will best suit my machine. I don't want to spend too much (no more than $200). And has anyone head anything about the adapters that allow you to play your xbox controller on your PC? How reliable are those?
I'll be getting MVP 04 on the PC as well. For graphics cards reviews and specs, I always check here: http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/index.html As for using your XBox controller on the PC. Mine works great, but some games (like Madden) didn't see the left trigger correctly, or the right analog stick. Instead, I spent $19.99 on a PS2-esque PC controller, the Logitech Dual Action Gamepad . I highly recommend this gamepad for PC games, especially EA Sports games (their default control schemes on all of their games seem to have this controller in mind, which makes sense as it's a direct copy of the PS2 dual shock).
From operation sports many of the hard core baseball guys that respected what MVP was trying to do last year but didn't like it went up to EA Canada to test out this year's version. They have been raving about it like mad men since they got back. I guess they say the improvement is astounding. Sounds like it is really going to be an incredible game. Won't be online for xbox so PC might be the way to go. I'll get it for xbox, baseball is the one game were I can actually enjoy playing a franchise versus the computer.
I agree about playing against the computer, but it's always nice to have a human opponent; that's why I am going to get it for my PC. Both versions I am sure will be great.
Sounds like we'll have a few MVP PC players around here. Maybe we can get something going on the side for MVP.
I might pick this up for the PC as well, just watched the minor league videos and it looks really good. I won't buy it on the xbox no matter what.
xbox is my main machine for gaming. But on 3/9 all star baseball and mvp come out. I think the better of the two will be MVP, so will have to get that on PC.....and of course ESPN for xbox on the 3/23. Xboxjohn....id love an xbox and a pc league for baseball.....
MVP baseball is soooooo good, god I wish they were live, that would be the obvious choice for this league
Maybe next year, we can only hope that EA gets on XBL this fall with Madden, then I'm sure the rest of their titles will follow suit.
Madden is great.....I am beginning to get tired of espn with every1 scoring 40+...sometimes defence is easy to play...others it is impossible.
