LOTR Battle for Middle Earth II

Yort go to different Blockbusters... I know some dont but some do.. I have 3 near me 2 rent them and one dont...

 

I actually just went ahead and bought the game last night. A friend and I used to play RTS games in college so we decided to both get it.

I just started the d/l. Gonna take a bit it seems. I was planning on buying this game tomorrow this way I can check it out before hand. I know I will like it but the extra verification will be nice. Can't wait until its finished!

Is there a way when you build to groups and send them into different areas to hop back and forth quickly? Like in the PC you could click on the mini map and go right there...but am not find a unit cycle command or the ability to use mini map.

 

I'm not sure on this. I was wondering the same thing because I find scrolling is sometimes difficult. I do not think there is a way though to go right to a battalion. I know if you click the left stick you go right to your fortress.

 

Yeah, although I have figured out the grouping thing I have yet to find a good way to map jump other than to your fortress. There is a command though that you can follow a certain bookmarked group so maybe that is the way to do it, select the bookmarked group then hit X maybe to follow them? Not sure if X was the command?

 

if anyone has this game and would like to play a match with me Lattdog and Pearson, we need a 4th!

 

Hey, I read this in my new OXM.

First select all the units you want, and than pull on the right trigger and select the bookmark option. You can then save them and select them from anywhere on the map using the d-pad.

I'm suprised only 8 people from LG have this game. It is very addicting. I think it would have been cool to get a little "LG war" going with this game. Like have a few teams of 3 or 4 people and have one team be good (Elves, Dwarves, Men) and one team be bad (Mordor, Isengard, Goblins). Than we could battle for control of regions (maps). We could have it set up in a way where all maps will be neutral, and whoever wins on that map will take control of it (whether it would be good or evil).

Yea, I'm normally the Elves but that game I decided to try Men out. Nothing beats those damn silver arrows that the Elves can get =P~ But yea, an organized LOTR event would be pretty neat, although not many people here have the game

 

Maybe we can squeeze in a 1v1 game later on.
