Here is a demo of how easy & fast the new OCR system is for LGv5 and for using Xbox One Screen Shots A couple things to note We need everyone's "Player Name", but have an easy system to update this We need to record everyone's position, but we will default this by the "signups" Images can only come from Xbox Live Screen shots. And we only look at "xbox screen shots" from the game time to game time + 55 minutes You can quickly search for screen shots from everyone in the game, not just yours So far getting 100% stat accuracy. Once an image is used in the OCR, you could delete it from your xbox profile, we save it locally. This system is a million times easier then trying to OCR photos from your camera. There is no blur, everything is lined up correctly. Because of this i can make this work about 25x faster, and get nearly perfect results. This means we may never need to manually enter stats again! Good question Rather then asking for 2 extra screen shots to get this, i will give all Team Faceoff wins and team faceoff's taken to the "Center" on each team
Kudos tris, the site is really shaping up and is very easy to navigate for an old technophobe such as myself.
No, you can edit it in your profile but hopefully before each game so you don't make managements work harder. If a player does forget to update management will be able to manually put it in BEFORE loading the screen shots. I think by Tris' example that the site will then update the lastest user name to that player's profile? @Tris10 , is that correct?
You're probably happy it's xbox screenshots now eh, a lot easier? Deserves a lot of credit though still, especially since you'll likely have to redo next year. If you're not using Tesseract or something for OCR, than this deserves even more credit.
It's crazy how much easier it is to have a standard image to ocr from, i can take a lot of short cuts with the OCR, where as before i would literally run the images through all these "passes" to convert its colours, reduce its blur and line up its tables.
@Tris10 You said the OCR takes images between when the game begins and 45 minutes after. What if there was a lagout? How does retrieving images work then if the game goes past 45 minutes?
@Tris10 I keep getting this message for the TBvCHI game An Error happened, we'll check into it but the ocr image might still have been processed
