Hey guys! We are back with week 4 power rankings! If you would like to check out last week's rankings you can do so HERE Myself, @ScootZ. @niner80rice, @xShauN88, @FR0BE 8, @Oso-Sic, @KingClutchlx77l, @NH4JP, @PTPiper and @CUMMINSx7 have joined forces to form the "expert" panel and will be ranking teams weekly. To be as unbiased as possible, the five guys from their respective conference rank the OPPOSING conference. That means West ranks East and vice versa. The numbers are then averaged and voila, the final power rankings are created. The rankings themselves should NOT be considered season predictions but rather rankings that will change week to week based on current roster strength, roster moves, how the team is currently playing and overall record. Having a good week doesn't guarantee a rise in the rankings and coming off a bad week doesn't necessarily mean a fall. Note that all opinions/comments in the article are that of my OWN and do NOT reflect the groups'. WEEK 4 POWER RANKINGS Graphic courtesy of @ScootZ Biggest Jump: Carolina Hurricanes (+4) Biggest Drop: Buffalo Sabres (-5) RECAPPING LAST WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT Anaheim Ducks : While the Ducks sport the best record in the entire league (22-4-1), they are also involved in more one goal games than any other team (12-1-1). Skeptics might point to them winning all these 1 goal games as them just "getting lucky" but Anaheim still rocks the 2nd best GD in the NHL and has no sign of slowing down. Goalie @SCHN3ID3RR-24 leads the league in save percentage and is a major reason why the Ducks sit a top the league. Carolina Hurricanes : With a bottom five TOAD, ATOA, SD and GD this current Hurricanes roster just isn't getting it done. With much of their core still on the roster from their playoff teams of the past, you have to wonder when management will look to shake things up. After a mediocre 4-5 week Carolina looks to shake things up with the swapping of defenseman @holymoly669 for forward @joshb12345 and the trading of forwards @rich2k8 and @Scoring-Aces to Long Island for @Insane_Hellfire and @ak_KeBeCoiS_ak. We will see if these moves help turn around one of the worst puck possession teams in the league. Arizona Coyotes : It is about time I gave Arizona some love. The Coyotes currently sit at 15-9-3 and have the second best goals for in the league. The desert is no longer the butt end of jokes thanks to @Moranoconda and @vhigh and they should not be taken lightly. In their past 14 games, Arizona has not lost in regulation going 8-0-6 during that span. The Coyotes look to keep howling and keep their point streak alive heading into week 5. WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT Boston Bruins : It doesn't look like being 1st in the Atlantic was enough for the Bruins as they went and traded away 11 roster players this week. @Cor1454, @Danny Briere and @NJExit13 for @GallyChucky, @Leg_al and @x Loops 19 x @asleeptech, @GeneralPatton044 and @SweeT 9 LoU 84 for @L3iggy13iggs, @Djnel2011, @Kush-Demon_QC and @zBernatchez @Will Rolltide, @TheRealBbenzZ, 2nd RDP and 3rd RDP for @JNasty003 and @RubMyDuck27 @rV_CLuTcHz, @Kraz18 and 3rd RDP for @smitheroo52, @Mattson, @DanielEPS and 1st RDP There have been a lot of grumblings around the league about as to why these moves were made whether it was "toxic" players, disagreements with management, whatever it was; the end result is a completely different roster from a week ago. Now for all we know these moves could vastly improve a team that is currently second in the East but you have to wonder what was going on behind the scenes that caused such a dramatic shake up. Central Division : With the reemergence's of Colorado, Minnesota and St. Louis this division is the tightest and most competitive in the league. The Central is currently the only division to have all of its teams over 30 points and 6 of 7 of its teams are over .500. As the halfway point of the season approaches, we will have to see who separates themselves from the rest of the pack. What I meant by move to the eastern conference is that the west has a lot of good teams, overall deeper compared to the east in my opinion. Its tough to "get the credit you deserve" when there are a lot of teams about the same skill level
