    2.0 LGMMA Staff

    2.0 LGMMA Staff
As with any league the proper people need to be in place for the league to run properly with as few issues as we possible. The following positions will be outlined for their job duties and election or removal process.

    2.1 LGMMA Commissioner
The LGMMA Commissioner will be selected by Leaguegaming.com Staff every title (new game). This position has no maximum term. The LGMMA Commissioner’s role is planning and tiebreaking in any votes. If an amount of unrest is present in the community and both the Judges and the Promoter votes in no confidence then a new Commissioner will be selected during the season.

    2.2 LGMMA Judge
The LGMMA Judge position is nominated by the LGMMA Commissioner and and voted on for each title (new game) by the fighters. This position has no maximum term. Unlike the Commissioner’s role the judges deal with the infractions of the league. Any game play or procedural issue will be reviewed by the Judges (maximum of 3). They will then take action according to the infraction list.

    2.3 LGMMA Promoter
The LGMMA Promoter position is similar to the the Player’s Associations of the other league gaming leagues. The Promoter is voted on by the player’s each season by those who run for the position. The Promoter is in charge of keeping the Blacklists and Infractions in check for the players. The Promoter will also be in charge of Fighter Education making sure new sign ups are aware of the game play rules.

    3.0 League Structure

    3.0 League Structure
With the existing divisions of weight classes we will be the overall rankings of the league with promotions and demotions on coming after each season. There is also a number of exceptions and future planning which is all posted here.

    3.1 Weight Classes

In the order of ranking from the highest to lowest; Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, Middleweight, Welterweight, Lightweight, Featherweight, Bantamweight, Flyweight.

    3.2 CAF Rules
All league sanctioned matches will take place on Create a Fighters. Create a Fighters must be made in the weight class you’re assigned in. All Create a Fighters maximum overall is to be 85. Anyone playing on a fighter out of their weight class or on an overall over 85 will forfeit the match and be issued a strike.

    3.3 Promotion & Demotion
After each season, the ability to be promoted or demoted will be determined. Fighters in the Heavyweight division can’t be promoted but can face Demotion, likewise fighters in the lowest division can’t face demotion but can face promotion.

    3.3.1 Champions

Any Champion will be given the option to continue his title reign in his current weight class or be promoted in the first spot. A Champion will only face forced promotion if the weight class is removed or he has been Champion for greater than one full season.

    3.3.2 Process
At the end of the season the top and bottom 3 of divisions will be up for promotion. Once these players have been determined they will change weight classes for the upcoming season. Additional slots will be up for promotion if a fighter retires for the off season.

    3.4 Title Determination
Everyone should be duking it out for the gold, as a symbol for their division. Champions are also awarded an extra fight on PPV weeks. The following procedures discuss how titles are determined and change hands

    3.4.1 No Champion

When the title enters a season without a champion an eight man tournament will be run to determine the champion in the first week. Seeding will be done at random.

    3.4.2 Normal Title Change
Obviously normal title changes will take place during the PPV matches. All other matches involving the champion are contested under a non-championship match environment.

    3.4.3 Champion Removed
If Champion is blacklisted or quits the league the #2 and #3 fighters will face off at the PPV to fill the open championship belt.

    3.5 Expansions

If all weight classes are not in current use the league can select to expand. When this is done the highest remaining weight class will be selected, and the current number of fighters in other divisions (8 for instance) will be added. The title will follow the rule in 3.4.1

    3.6 Under Cards
Under Cards are a means to allow new sign ups during the season to keep members interested and potentially look to seed people into divisions during expansion. These fights follow the same rules and allow the League Staff to better seed the fighters for the upcoming season.

    4.0 League Schedules

    4.0 Scheduling

This section is dedicated to how scheduling is processed by the league, matchups are created, and PPV determination.

    4.1 Schedules (Normal Week)

Three fights are scheduled per week for each fighter in the league. The normal window for these fights is Sunday from 12:01 am EST/EDT until Saturday 10pm EST/EDT. The 2 hour window allows staff to create the following schedule.

    4.2 Schedules (PPV Week)
Three fights are scheduled for PPV weeks for each fighter in the league, however some people will gain extra fights if they are in the PPV. These fights open up Sunday from 12:01 am EST/EDT until Thursday at 11:59pm EST/EDT. Certain fights that don’t impact the pay per view may be waived until the normal deadline upon staff’s determination.

    4.2.1 PPV Schedule

The PPV Schedule will be posted the second that we have it finalized, this could be before all fights have been played or waiting on a final fight. The Pay Per View will feature all titles being defended, at least one camp match and up to three undercard fights. These fights don’t gain people standings points as anyone on a pay per view would be able to amass more points then the rest of the league.

    4.2.1.1 Recording
All PPV Fights must be recorded and submitted to staff, these fights will be edited together and a show will hopefully be created by the Media team.

    4.3 Creation of the Schedule
With our current 8 man rosters, we have determined that fighters ranked 1-4 will fight and fighters 5-8 will also fight one another. This will move fighters up and down in the rankings naturally and allow people to contend for the titles.

    4.4 Number 1 Contender Fight
If two fighters are tied with the same amount of points the league will place a number one contender fight prior to the PPV. The winner of this fight will move on to face the champion at the pay per view.

    4.5 Early Release
If the league fully completes the fight week before the deadline staff will release the following week's schedule early giving the fighters more time to complete the following weeks schedule.

    6.0 Gameplay Rules

    6.0 Gameplay Rules
This section of the document is in place to outline what is required to make a match official and what moves are outlawed for league play.

    6.1 Video & Streaming

As the consoles have progressed in this generation of gaming the requirement of proof is going to be extended. With the ability to potentially cheat in a match and with a preverbal he said she said outcome being at high risk the league is requiring that each match is streamed or recorded. With Twitch being easily built into the consoles and requiring no additional payment to use, the league requires that one of the two fighters gain the video of the fight. Going to Twitch.tv you can enter your settings and select the option to archive past broadcasts which will automatically save your fight, once you have completed the broadcasts you will post the links into the weekly thread. Any fight not captured will be a DNP in which both fighters obtain a loss.

    6.2 Lag outs

While we have yet to see a number of people lagging out from matches this is something we have to address. If someone lags out we expect fighters to be honest and work this out either scrubbing the match to restart or admitting to a rage quit. If fighters are unable to come to an agreement then we ask the footage is submitted to the league and the staff will rule on the situation in which it occurred. We understand that people will not be happy with the decision we come to which is why we ask for it to be handled by the fighters. The league reserves the right to award a decision victory, a TKO victory, or a replay.

    6.2.1 Lag Session

This is the one time that a pause is allowed must happen prior to 2 minutes passing in the first round. And you are to restart the match, if there is suspected abuse of this rule then Staff can require video evidence to submitted by the player in each match where he would ask for a lag out.

    6.3 Schedule Conflicts
In most weeks fighters have seven days to complete their fights. We ask fighters to communicate with one another to set up their match times, in this first season. Outside of tournaments you can complete your fights in any order. If the fighters are unable to agree upon a single time they can approach league staff to mandate a time. This is to be a last resort, as again we want to put the fighters in control of their schedules. If a match is missed after agreed upon this should be brought to the league staffs attention, and the fighters should work towards the rescheduling the fight.

    6.4 Currently Banned Moves

Below are a list of exploits that currently have not been fixed and thus are banned from league play. Any excessive use of these moves will cause the use of a DQ, repeated offenses can lead to your removal from LGMMA.

    6.4.1 Clinched Against the Cage
This rule applies to the dominant fighter who has their opponent against the cage. Currently there is the feeling there is a free strike exploit. If you have your opponent against the cage you can’t stop their transitions out of the dominant position. If you do stop a transition then you must release the hold without throwing a strike. If a strike is thrown and it results in a KO you will forfeit the match. You may obtain the dominant position and strike as long as you’re not denying transitions.

    6.4.2 Pauses
The only time we allow pauses during a match are outlined in 6.2.1 any other pause must be agreed upon by parties for this to happen. Accidental pauses may occur but if they occur during a submission or health event they will result in the pausing party losing the match.

    6.4.3 Posture Exploit
EA reps have already commented on this exploit. For league play you may not posture up or down and throw just a single strike. If you posture you must throw at least 3 strikes before you can posture either up or down. Currently this is being looked into and should be fixed in the near future.

    6.4.4 Whip Exploit
When in the Clinch whipping your opponent has lead to a single free strike. This is another issue EA is looking into. If you whip your opponent while in clinch you must throw a minimum of three strikes before whipping them again.

    6.4.5 Submission Animation Glitch
There is currently a glitch in where a submission attempt will stop the ref from standing up two fighters. If this occurs in a match then the fighter using the exploit can be punished in losing the fight.

6.4.6 Arm Triangle Submission (Half Guard)
This submission is outlawed in all league matches, the reason is a fail will advance you into a better position on the ground.

    6.4.7 Submission Spam Ruling
After polling the league we have decided that in the best interest for the league we need to address this issue. After a failed submission attempt from the dominate position you must make two passes before attempting another submission. What this means is the you must change the ground position twice before attempting another submission, you will not be Disqualified if you attempt another one immediately but if a submission victory results without these ground passes you will be Disqualified.

    6.5 Exploit Submission
If fighters occur and capture an exploit not listed above then submit it to LGMMA Staff. The league staff will review the exploit attempt to recreate it and then bring it to the league for discussion.

    6.6 Repeat Offenders
Removing people is the last thing the league wants to do. If people continue to exploit the rules to attempt to gain wins then the league staff will be required to review the case and pass judgement on the fighter.

    7.0 Camps

    7.0 Camp System

The introduction of the Fight Camp system was something that was planned from the start of the league. We wanted to introduce a team system to help fighters grow and have people to spar with. The following section describes the current rules about forming, running, and winning a season as a camp.

7.1 The Creation of a New Camp

Camps are able to be created by fighters in good standing with the league. At the start of the league anyone who has not forfeited or broken a rule will be allowed to make a camp. As the league grows and ages we will be looking to only allow fighters whom have been dedicated to the league to create camps. If you’re initially denied the creation of a camp, you will be informed to of why and how to make one in the future.

    7.1.1 Information Required

First off you will need to come up with a name for your camp, this can’t be any racial or homophobic slurs. Plays on words are fine by me as long as lines aren’t crossed. While we all have a good amount of fun “shit” talking one another we don’t want to push people away from the league because of descrimenation. Secondly you will need to come up with description of the camp and what you focus on, winning all the time is not a valid description. Finally you can choose to add a logo, at some point these will be required.

    7.2 Rosters
Obviously for this to be a camp, you need to have more than one fighter involved. Creations of new camps must consist of the team leader and one more fighter minimum. The current Maximum number of fighters in a camp is 8.

    7.2.1 Removing a Fighter

If you chose to remove a fighter from your roster they can immediately join any camp out there. Mind you their fights while with you for the season will still count, even if they join another team.

    7.2.2 Fighter Leaves Camp

If the fighter decides to leave your camp, they must wait a full week of matches before joining another camp. This will hopefully stop people from trying to join the leading camp in a season.

    7.3 Camp Points
Each camp will not be the same size and for this we need to come up with a point system to balance out which camp is leading for the season. At this point the total number of rank points will be added together and divided by the number of fighters on the roster at the start of the week (when the schedule is officially posted).

    7.3.1 Titles

After each Pay Per View event a bonus will be given out for each title the camps own. This is currently slated at 2 points per title, and subject to change if we find a imbalance in points.

    7.3.2 Minimum Number of Fighters

We are currently looking at a minimum of 2 fighters for the first season. We will announce any changes to this system as the league and Camps grow.

    7.3.3 Invitational Tournament Bonus

Any camp which has a fighter win the LGMMA Invitational Tournaments will receive a bonus point for the win.

    7.4 Winning a Camp Season
At the end of the season heading into the off season, we will look at pitting the two top camps against one another. This will be a tournament style elimination bracket in which a single member of either team will win the championship for his team. The 1st place team will select the first fight and then the 2nd place team will select the second matchup, and so on and so forth until only one fight remains.

    7.5 The Ultimate Fighter
The previous seasons top two teams will be up to run the entry tournament, for new sign ups. These teams will select the fighters for their team and will also gain a trophy if one of their fighters win the whole competition.

    8.0 Points System and Stats.

    8.0 Points System & Stats

The purpose of this section is to explain the point system and stats we take for the league.

    8.1 Fight Points

A different number of points are awarded for each type of outcome of a fight. This also outlines the change in points after the first and second pay per view.

    8.1.1 Knockout Victory

If you gain a KO or TKO Victory you will gain 3 rank points.

    8.1.2 Submission Victory
If you gain a Submission Victory you will gain 3 rank points.

    8.1.3 Decision Victory
If you win a fight by Decision you will gain 2 rank points.

    8.1.4 Decision Loss
If you lose a fight by Decision you will gain 1 rank point.

    8.1.5 Underdog Win
After the first PPV, the league staff can put the Underdog win points into effect. This will grant 1 more rank point for defeating a fighter of more than one rank infront of you. IE #8 seed defeats #7 seed no bonus point would be given, however if they defeated the #6 or #5 fighter they would gain one extra point.

    8.2 Normal Fights
All fights not on the pay per view are to be schedule 3 rounds, any fight exceeding this will be replayed.

    8.3 Pay Per View Fights
The undercard fights will be 3 round fights, the Title and Camp Matches will be 5 round fights.

    8.4 Stats
Until a point where we have OCR, and a native stats system built by @Tris10 we required the overall fight stats to enter into the google doc. These are required for every fight, both fighters should make sure they have no less than a picture of these.

Updated the Fighter Overall in 3.0 to 85. This will be up for discussion after the first pay per view, as we look forward to season 1.
