    :team78: Pittsburgh Penguins def. :team4: Philadelphia Flyers in 4 games, G1 PIT (6-1) G2 PIT (5-1) G3 PIT (3-2) G4 PIT (4-2)

This series had a lot of promise and stories behind it, the Penguins appeared to have their first real challenge on their hands and @Hxndry gets to face the team that traded him. What followed was a swift buttkicking that should remove any doubt that anyone had about Pittsburgh. Granted, somehow @Williams x12x and his line played twice in this series while the @P t P 10 first line only appeared for game 4, but it is still an impressive sweep nonetheless.

    Series MVP: @Hxndry 2-0 (3G, 4A, +4)

    :team5: Montreal Canadiens def. :team12: New York Rangers in 7 games, G1 NYR (3-0) G2 MTL (5-3) G3 MTL (3-1) G4 MTL (2-1) G5 NYR (7-2) G6 NYR (6-4) G7 MTL (4-1)

The other series in the East proved to be much more of a spectacle. After a 1-1 split the first two nights and losing both on Tuesday Montreal was sitting pretty and had the Rangers on the ropes. The following night the bad rags handed out two dominating wins to force a game 7. With two stout game 7 lines thrown out Montreal came out on top with a 4-1 finish. One thing is for sure, if Montreal can reach a game 7 they can throw out one heck of a line to face their challengers.

    Series MVP: @Splooosh 2-1 (3G, 3A, +2)

    :team391: Winnipeg Jets def. :team77: Nashville Predators in 5 games, G1 WPG (4-0) G2 WPG (8-3) G3 WPG (3-0) G4 NSH (4-2) G5 WPG (3-2)

Nashville had to keep the puck out of the net in this series but failed to do so at any point in the series. On top of that their offense went a bit cold, being shut out twice in the five games. Winnipeg proceeded to walk through the playoffs, this time against a team that was supposed to be their first challenge. It is really scary how effective this team is, and now they face the team that eliminated them last season.

    Series MVP: @l1l Bones l3l 2-0 (4G, 2A, +6)

    :team15: San Jose Sharks def. :team29: Calgary Flames in 7 games, G1 SJS (3-2) G2 CGY (6-1) G3 CGY (4-3) G4 CGY (3-1) G5 SJS (4-3) G6 SJS (3-2) G7 SJS (4-1)

It is hard to figure out whether this was an impressive performance by Calgary to take San Jose to 7, including being up 3-1 in the series at one point, or if this was a series that showed the flaws of San Jose once again and almost costed them the series. San Jose only scored more than 3 goals in regulation once in this series (game 7), which forced their defense to step up to bail out the offense once again. Being down 3-1 against Calgary is something nobody expected, including myself. At least the game 7 line San Jose can put out is filled with both effective scorers and quality defenders, meaning their offensive woes may not be an issue in that scenario. Can the Sharks defense hold up against a stacked Winnipeg offense?

    Series MVP: @Sbass19 3-0 (3G, 6A, +6, 0:00 PIMS)

    ROUND 3 PREDICTIONS:

:team78: Pittsburgh Penguins def. :team5: Montreal Canadiens in 6 games

:team391: Winnipeg Jets def. :team15: San Jose Sharks in 5 games
