@xW 4 R D for Norris
We did that last sesson
Don't like this idea whatsoever. A lot of owners go above and beyond to help their AHL and others decide to bone their AHL team. Owners own the whole organization not just the NHL. If their AHL doesnt matter why are they able to take players from the AHL and able to trade AHL assets for NHL?
Agreed. Example of this: San Jose Sharks - 2nd in the League, San Jose Barracuda - Dead last in the AHL, 4 different management changes.
Winnipeg Jets - 1st in the League, Manitoba Moose - Nowhere near playoffs in the Central
It boils down to how LG wants to define the award.
The Jack Adams Award is awarded annually to the National Hockey League (NHL) coach "adjudged to have contributed the most to his team's success."
In the real world, the status of the AHL affiliate wouldn't matter in the slightest, as "team" is obviously meant to mean the NHL team.
AHL has their own "Coach of the Year" award and I don't recall anyone at the AHL level stating that NHL influence and impact on the AHL team should be taken into account.
Personally, I'd rather see the NHL Coach of the Year be limited to NHL, and the AHL Coach of the Year award can take into consideration just how much help or fucking the AHL team got from NHL. For example, @Stoner x 95 got a tremendous amount of help from 3 NHL owners. His scoring should be weighted appropriately.
I really gotta step up my game if I want to win the Art Ross this season
Jack Adams - i nominate
l Bossy l x 22 - Ottawa
Brisan66 - Philly
Vargy - Florida
Bake703 - NYR
Well then maybe instead of Jack Adams, since we don't technically have coaches in LG, we should go with GM (our case owner) of the Year award. That exists in the NHL and it plays to both how your NHL and AHL roster does. Just a thought.

Thabks for your opinion, it will be taken into consideration.
However, the committee from last season along with the owners group and owners from past seasons have expressed wanting a change for this award. You guys also have been pushing for your league to be seperate from ours. Im bot sure what direction the league should go with that but most of the top teams are all fine with their AHL team it seems to be the bottom and middle tier teams who usually have a somewhat shaky relation. However, the AHLs record shouldn't effect an NHL award.
That is what we are doing with the jack Adams . . . There is no award for that unless Brodie wants to create another seperate award and we keep the Jack for both nhl and ahl records as in the past
Separate names with a comma.
