Format & Rules
Please read the entire post, and then post your interest to take part in this league


Team Captains:

Format:

-Four teams of 12-30 players each (depends on sign-ups). Each week members will sign up for a 'Room' to play in which will have set times. Team members will apply for available 'Rooms' in thier own Team Forum every Monday during the season. It is common for those late to sign-up may find themselves as alternates, so be sure to sign up early every week!

-The season will last 6 weeks, your team will play each of the other teams twice.

-3 days of killing (Fri-Sun). 4 rooms spread out over those 3 days. More rooms will be added if needed. Each room will consist of 3 games. Each game will have it's own point scoring system.

Games Types are TBD, but they will include:
Slayer, Capture the Flag (CTF), Oddball, Team Ball, & King
Max Players Per Room it tentatively scheduled for 6x6 and 3x3x3x3 room sizes.

-Team/weekly scoring, etc
Each week, one team will compete against another team to score points. Points area scored by accomplishing the game's goals (most kills, Flag Captures, Holding a position for a set amount of time, etc). Points will be accumulated and tallied at the end of the week, the team with the most points wins that week. It is important to note that even if you're team has lost the first 2 games, points scored in Game 3 will go toward's your team's total for that week, so every Game is important.

A sample of the scoring system will be as follows:

For Capture the Flag - Each Team will get 1 point for each flag captured. The first team to capture 3 flags wins the match and is awarded 2 bonus points.

1 Game of CTF:
Team A - Captures 2 Flags = 2pts for their team
Team B - Captures 3 Flags = 3pts + 2 Bonus pts = 5 total pts for their team

1 Game of Slayer
Team A - Total Kills (in Rounds) 50-35-50-50 = 5 Points
Team B - Total Kills (in Rounds) 22-50-37-42 = 1 Point

-Team members can only play in one game/room each weekend. So if you signup and play Friday night, you are done for that week's team event.

- There will be 3 Rooms dedicated to the Team vs Team format. The last Room will be a Bonus Room.

Bonus Room
The bonus room will be the last match of the week. All 4 teams will battle it out on one map at the same time for extra points. Will you gun for the team you are pitted against that week...or will you try to extract your revenge on the dominating league leaders?

Rules:
Weekly Team Signups
Each Monday, the team's captain will post a signup thread in the team's private forum. Sometime before Wednesday @ 11:59pm EST the players who signed up for the week will be assigned to a room. The total number of players on the schedule is the total number of "active" players for that week.

Active Players:
Anyone on the team that is listed on the current weeks schedule is an Active Player for that week. Active Players are allowed to play once per week in their assigned room.

Alternates
Alternates are defined as any player on the team that is not been listed or assigned a room for the week. An alternate can "only" substitute for a previously scheduled player and can not take the place of an "empty spot" in a room. Alternates are like any other player and can only play once per week. If an alternate is used in a game, please notify your captain about who played and the circumstances that lead up to the event.

Missed games, scheduling games with opponents:
The room schedule/roster will be released each week at 12:00am midnight Thursday. Each of the 4 rooms will have 2 teams facing off against each other (# of players per event TBD). Once this schedule is released each Thursday, it can not be changed. If you signed up for a room and your captain put you in that room, you will only be able to play in that room. You are expected to meet your opponents on XBL at the designated time and play them at that time. If you show up on time and one or more of your opponents do not, they have 15min to show up. If a player fails to show, the remaining teammate can try and find one of their team's alternates to substitute in (see above) or be forced to continue short handed (not good).

Disconnects, game crashes, DDE
If you're playing and someone loses connection, their Xbox crashes, etc, the game will be restarted and replayed. Hopefully, we can keep these issues to a minimum by making sure that we turn off any internet seeking applications on our PC's while playing XBL.

Issues of Concern:
If before a game starts and something does not seem like it fits within the rules that have been put forth you and you have questions about something please take the time to bring what you can to a Captain. If no one can be found please try and come to an agreement amongst yourselves if possible. After a game has started there is no turning back and at that point both sides have agreed to the current situation. If a Captain is not around at the time of this occurrence and you can not reach an agreement between each other with the 15min delay both teams are required to make a post in their team forums for their captains to bring to the Captains Forum and discuss what happened.

Scoreboard:
The Scoreboard for Halo2 will be the most exciting LG members have ever seen. In addition to keeping track of each team's score, upcoming opponents and team stats, it will track each and every LG member's stats from top to bottom. From head shots to Flags Captured, total kills to saves and suicides. You will even be able to pull up a list of who you've killed on LG and how many times.

Final Comments:
In closing I would like to make it very clear that we will not tolerate any members dropping out of the league. Anyone who drops from this league will never be asked back to this league and membership in current or future leagues for other sports could be invalidated. Failure to show up for a scheduled game might also result in removal from your team (per your captain's recommendation).

Please keep in mind that by signing up for the league, you will not be required to be available each week for games, only the ones you specifically signup for with your captains. If your schedule prevents you from playing a week here or there, that's acceptable, but please signup with the intention of wanting and being able to play each week during one of the 4 time slots (Fri-Sun).
