League Settings

Ok, I think I'll open this can of worms up to discuss what the league settings should be. I think we wen't with All-Pro the last couple of seasons and I'm inclined to go that route again. All-Madden seems a bit too stout, with the defensive AI being a little too good IMO. However, I'm open to what the majority of the league wants. Please keep comments factual and leave the speculation out. Meaning, don't bash one setting or another unless you've played it. Let's hear your ideas.

 

my vote goes to All Madden, as it closes those big plays, not that it is a bad thing but with all pro it happens to much.

 

all-madden...running and passing are way way way to easy this year on all-pro!! to wide open of a game on all-pro IMO...

I picked all madden because it gives the game more realism.Plus silly throwning plays that work every time are harder to do and you need to take control of your WR's to go out there and make the catch.This will make the game more to a SIM than a normal game so thats why i pick All Madden.

 

I haven't played All-Pro yet as early reports suggested it was the only level the DB's played smart. I might have to investigate this further.

 

i know. i think that it not the settings that we have to worry it is how the person plays. we madden ncaa the highest diffculity and the scoring is still high and it was easy for some ppl and even harder for others.

i dont think with madden it easy to do anything. it really depends on who u are playing. and if everyone plays sim then we can make it on all pro.. i am worried that we keep on making it the highest diffculity and the score would get evey crazier.

 

Well, this league won't stand for cheesers or those that abuse exploits or glitches. I expect everyone to play sim-like ball and show respect to their opponent. Running up the score, kicking onsides or going for it on fourth down when it clearly doesn't call for it is extremely discouraged and repeat offenders will be removed.

The game is new so we may not learn of these problems until down the road. It's too bad we don't have playmaker controls for defense as it would allow you to adjust to just about anything.

 

They took out the playmaker controls??

All Pro I guess. I am new to Madden so it really doesn't matter to me.

 

All-Madden.. why would the scores be higher..lol Like army said the defenses are stout. We have high scores in NCAA because it's too wide open of a game.. and i dont see Madden being any different... Im playing my franchise on All Madden and believe me it's like playing allpro 2 years ago...

 

ncaa in general should be a higher scoring game....just like in real life!! more shootouts etc..so if we play on all-madden that will have nothing to do with the scores being high the AI is so much more dumb this year on all-pro its actually a joke!!

 

Shouldnt we try it out for a little longer, perhaps set up a bunch of "Preseaons" games. nothing really organized but a post with results. I would like to see some stats from games and which setting gives you a more reallistic game.

 

IDK. maybe i suck. but i dont find all pro a joke. i lost 28-21 the first time i played on all pro. so idk. it just i been in other lgs in other sites and they made it higher and it was always bad u know.

i mean can you guys tell me what im doing wrong then since everyone else thinks its so easy and stupid. i mean give me some tips.

 

Basically its nothing you're doing wrong except practicing on a lower level..

IF you'll play every game on All-Madden, when you play all-pro you'll see the difference. IT's good to practice on a higher level than your playing and not doing so make it feel almost impossible to play the game successfully.

 

OHH OK. CUZ when i played on all madden before wow i lost badly i mean it was like 42-0 or 42-7 lol. i mean i still lose on all lose on all pro but at least i feel better lol. oh well it dont matter to me. i just dont want it to be extra hard for those that not used to it or find it way to hard u know.

my overall feeling is i just want to be somewhere there is sim guys that all u know.

 

Pits.. it might be xtra hard now.. but in the long run you'll be able to compete alot better...

Again I vote all madden because it does eliminate some of the corner routes and I don't feel if it works doing it on big plays that it is cheese...... At the same time it makes it harder to run, but you still have success..... I always think the highest level should be the level for the simple reason that it makes you play smarter and you can't get away with major mistakes just like in real football. If you play great D you should be rewarded and the same thing with Offense if you change it up you should be rewarded. I voted for Heisman in NCAA and I am 0-4 and haven't complained once and my team is terrible as well as I am to.... When I make a bad decision the game makes me pay for it as it should be.
