Just bought NFL2k3

and god do i suck. First game ever played was against some guy online who selected the dolphins. I used the lions and and ended up losing 72-7. It would have been a shutout but McMahon finally completed a pass to Hakim and i was gone. I guess i really need to practice for nfl2k4 huh? :? Go :fdet:

I had thought about picking up NFL2k3 for cheap just to practice before NFL2k4 comes out (I need to untrain myself after 10+yrs of Madden).

However, isn't the gameplay supposed to be different in this year's version? I'm sure they've done some enhancements to the game engine. Plus, we'll likely have sliders that change the way the game plays too.

 

Yea, I am used to Madden also.....but I am gonna just wait for 2k4.

i actually agree with mp on this one. Its hard enough to complete a pass in that game specially with mcmahon. leave the sliders alone or else... well nothing really but i like it how it is .

 

Well, we will see how it goes. The only thing I would wanna mess around with would be quarter length and stuff....nothing much.

 

id say 5 minutes is perfect buts that just me...it will make for a decent scoring game if the bother players are good somewhere between 10-40 points

 

Yea, in Madden I always did 5 min quarters. We will see though.

 

Gameplay should change a bit, but the controls will be the same. So you might want to pick it up or rent it just to get the hang of it.

 

Yep. That's what I was thinking.

Even if they improved on the gameplay, the controls are going to be different than Madden/NCAA2004, so I might try and find it used/cheap somewhere just to get a handle on the differences before our season starts.

Although, I'm having a hard time tearing away from NCAA2004 at the moment to play anything else.

Anyway, just got home with my $7.99 game of NFL2k3. The disc looks brand new, what a deal!
