Hosts, please READ THE GAME SETTINGS THREAD CAREFULLY. The settings are EXTREMELY simply but if you don't read or don't do things completely then the games are ruined. You only need to change the settings listed when making a new game type. There are 3 games in each room, that means the host should only be hitting "start round" 3 times the entire night, If you have to play 5 games of King of the Hill then you didn't do the settings right. Please, Read the rules carefully.
it also seems i have to point out what "Team score" is for KOTH, The first team to get 2:00 wins that round, thats 1 point, the first team to win 3 rounds would win that game. You ONLY need to convert the "KINGS SCORE" field into seconds. So to recap Team A wins 1 round Team B wins 3 Rounds Team A score = 1 Team B score = 3 NOT the total time each player for that team got.
Your settings were NOT clear at all. There is 5 diff types of king of the hill to make and u didn't specify which one and same with assault. I can see in the other room there is no King's Score for any player. I put those in for our room and now they are gone today because you edited the score to 3-1. It was actually 3-0 too. Please make your settings clear for next time. You can ask anyone in my room to back me up on that.
ONE Question... Why does the scores in the ticker show 5-0, 5-0, 5-0 and 5-0, 5-1, 5-2 when it was 3-0, 3-0, 3-0 and 3-0, 3-1, 3-2.... Weird...
That's because the winning team for each type of game gets a 2 point bonus added to their scores. So whoever get to 3 wins first in each type of game gets those 2 bonus points.
I'm confused as well. So for the 2:00 matches, I only change the settings that are listed? In that case, are you telling me that the single flag match on Zanzibar is only 1 round that lasts 5 minutes? I thought each team would at least get a chance to play O & D? :?
Yes, there are 5 types of KOTH, but use some common sense: We're playing a team game. So it has to be one of the "team" types. You only have choices there. You know that it has to be the one where the "hill" moves... so that means it must be: Team Crazy King Select Team Crazy King, rename to whatever you want, then edit from the default settings (ie. no radar, first to 3, 2 min to win, 2 min moving hill, 10 sec respawns, etc). Simple, really guys, it's that simple.
but we had problems with this today, after the offensive team scored it didn't automatically change, we had to play the rest of the round before the teams switched positions. There must be a setting somewhere that allows the teams to switch after one flag is captured
As Shush said, unless the settings are same each week, then you'd need to remake the custom game variants each week. However, I would expect some game types to come up the same from week to week. They won't be 100% new each time around.
