one of my goals in franchise mode is to improve my team pitch rating from like 87 to 89. how do i go about doing this?
In the short term, deal for a much better pitcher to improve the overall quality of your staff, probably a starter. In the long term, cut the dead weight, maybe pick up a guy in free agency if you have no one to bring up.
Relievers may be an easy way of doing this... Check out your pen...see if you can make any trades to improve there. Cuz you may have a few guys in there rated pretty low...like 60s. If that's the case trade for 75-80 ovr guys and that may bump you up a couple points.
