I wouldn't say that. It got 3 times bigger when the American men's team did pretty good at the most recent World Cup in South Korea. And it is on the rise. If America gets in the top 5 this time around, I would say look for it to be one of the big 5.

One of these days when America starts getting better at it, it will be one of the biggest sports in America.

 

Your joking me right? With sports like football, basketball, baseball, and hockey (when it returns), soccer will NEVER be big. It's not entertaining at all to most Americans. Most of us would rather see points on the board, bone crushing hits, high flying homeruns, 360 dunks, etc... At Texas Tech more people go to the girls v-ball games than to any soccer game!

 

The one and only reason it isn't big to you guys...is because America can't win in it until recently!

 

Our women's team has been good for years and no one likes it. American's just dont care for things that aren't entertaining (like soccer).

 

Because it is women! Not being sexist or anything here, but America enjoys men's sports much more than womens.

a little bit true MP..... other than tennis, there is really no other women's sport that is popular...

The WNBA is still trying to pick up even though they are backed by the mighty NBA...

Women's sports isn't as interesting in the US!!!!

Only to the part of the mind that controls your sex hormones. But outside of this, the true sports mind has no interest in women's sports.
