Dude Orbital! Did you hear that NHL 10 comes out on the 15th?!?!?!?!?!?!? http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73760 HELLS YEAH BUDDY!
When I went in to pick up Dirt 2 I asked them if they would have it to sell on the 15th and they said yes! maybe I wont get it 2-3 days later this year like 08 and a day later like 09.
Thats pretty badass, there should be no reason why they couldn't! but I can see the pattern, ever since 07 EA has been rolling like a juggernaught. 09 Sold a boat load of copies, and won a ton of awards. Seems like your store catches on every year, maybe for 11 you will get it early haha.
Yeah he got it from EA, so gonna see all those guys playing when they get home. Congrats douches! Jealousyyyyyyyyyy
Just curious, but coming out 2-3 days late, then a day late, and you decided to stick with the same company? lol.
I found this at eashlforums.com this pretty much explains everything. It all makes sense to me now. I was in a chat with Jason last night, he was trying his best to explain everything to me, he admits himself its very confusing. He did however mention this post and say that Mike0ne5 has it pretty well explained, he then sent me this email explaining it a little better and told me at the end to feel free to share it. So here it is, hopefully it will help alot of people understand all this a little better : Another way to look at it is this: You can always equip a Helmet (always), with a best case of three slots in it. The slots can be filled with any attribute other than Speed. There are +5, +3 and +1 cards for each attribute, each card can only be used once, so you cannot get two +5s for the same attribute, but you could get +5 and +3 for the same one, or +5 for two different ones. After the Helmet you can go one of two routes (and switch whenever you like): A) Use a Max Boost pack B) Use individual gear + experience card points. The gear (Skates, Gloves, Stick) works in the same manner as the Helmet. Skates allow upgrades to skating related attributes (e.g. Speed, Agility, etc), Gloves general skills (e.g. Puck Control I think), and Stick for shooting and other stick related stuff. Like the Helmet each piece of gear can have up to three slots. Attribute points are similar to 09. Either route will get you to the low to mid 80s in overall attributes, but the consensus among the devs who have played is that we prefer having the flexibility of the second route. Given that you will unlock stuff in the course of playing, including the experience cards, one way to go would be to go the first way to get started and be good immediately, then switch to the second way when you have experience and boost cards unlocked (possibly paying to fill in holes if there are specific ones you want and haven't got yet). To be as good as possible immediately you'd probably get the following: -One Boost Pack for the player type you prefer. -One three slot helmet. -Three Attribute Boosts to fill in the three helmet slots (anything but Speed), e.g. +5 Wrist Shot Power, +5 Wrist Shot Accuracy, +5 Acceleration -- or whatever attributes you like. You could get a +5 and a +3 on one attribute if you really wanted to focus on that, but I wouldn't think using a +1 (for a total of +9 on a single attribute) would be better than getting a +5 in a different attribute. Please don't hesitate to ask more questions, I'd like to put together a guide for this and it is useful for me to figure out clear ways to explain the mess. Also feel free to pass this on to other people. Regards, Jason
