Go for it! After having played both games you'll quickly realize how much better Madden is. MUCH more sim than ESPN could ever dream of being.

This is the thread that keeps on giving. I think I'll be going back to ESPN also. I'm waiting for some transition breakthrough on Madden but it's not happening. There's something about the game I don't like. Maybe its losing by 35+ points each game. [-(

Well i still like the game even though i get my butt kicked every week. I keep hoping something will click but every week its the same thing, QB fumble, TD defense! Interception, TD defense! :( I do think the stats are little out of wack though, but this can be fixed by dropping down to 5 or 6 minute quarters so its not that big of a deal.

I agree with CanEHdian man.....this season cant end fast enough. I am 0-8 this season and lose on average by 40+ points. I picked Madden up this year for change from ESPN football. I liked it at first, but the more I play, the more pissed I get. Drake is 100% correct, fumble....TD, interception....TD, fumble.....TD, Interception.....TD. I had 8 turnovers last game (2 fumbles and 6 interceptions) and I think 4 of them were returned for a TD. That is completely unreal, no matter what - even if I did make poor decisions. I am just as bad at ESPN football, but at least I can hang with the people I play - and maybe win a game. This may sound totaly unbelievable, but I have had this game for a few months now and I have not won a single game (online and offline) on the ALL-Pro setting.

Nevertheless, I will still try my hardest against my oppenents but it isnt that much fun losing by 40-50 points every week.

Note: I love NCAA 2005 much, much better.

I'm in an ESPN league as well as the Madden league here. I absolutely DREAD having to play my ESPN games. It's all in what you get used to playing. They are completely different games.

I absolutely love Madden, win or lose. I think the defensive side is completely awesome. Unfortunately, I don't get to play it that much and only play my league games. I think it's a great game and am very glad I decided to buy it this year since the last few years I was ESPN ONLY! And trust me, I'm one of the top teams for giving up turnovers and still love the game :D

Yea dont get me wrong, i still like the game even though im losing every week. Hopefully some of the better players will take pity and give us losers some tips. Sports Junky gave me a good tip that i tried this week and it helped. Even though i still lost i scored more points at least ;)

You're completely right, its all about what you get used to...and I am NOT used to Madden... I think us horrible players should get spotted about 30 points at the beginning of every game. :D - especially against people like Sports Junky and Windless.

Hey Canehdian, I think all games can be frustrating. I love football and NCAA had me feeling the same way and I was looking forward to the season to end, but for a different reason. I wanted to get a little better team and see what I could do. So with a great gamer like yourself look forward to the season to end, but for a different reason, like getting a better team and then see what you can do with them. Goodluck on the rest of the season and hope you will be back for season 2.
