Re: burning mp3 to x i do this all the time, just use a cd-rw, and rip it and close the disc or disc-at-once and it should work fine
Re: burning mp3 to x you can use some cd-r though me thinks... http://www.intp.us/xboxfaq/faq.htm link to the list of useable cd-r's and cd-rw's
Thanks a ton you guys, i was pissed because i couldnt put any burned cd's on. Thanks for the link mp.
I've always used a CD-RW to transfer music to my XBox. I think it's a Memorex, but I've used the same one since Nov '01 on launch day.
just went to get some cd's, and i keep getting this "under buffer run error" or something like that. what the heck is that?
xboxjon: So i can just buy a memorex cd-rw and burn it using easy cd creator and my xbox will read it?
Yeah. I burn my with Nero, seems to work fine. I usually load up 10-15 songs and make an audio cd with a formatted CDRW and the XBox sees it just like a retail CD. Of course, the title of the this thread is probably causing the confusion. You can't "burn" a "mp3" file the XBox. MP3's have nothing to do with the discussion. You can rip music tracks off a music CD (or CDRW) to your XBox hard drive, which are stored as WMA files I believe. But no MP3's (unless you've hacked your XBox).
I think that means the XBox is having trouble ripping the audio tracks from your CD. Try using a different brand CDR, or use a CDRW...and possibly the program that you used to burn those audio CDR's may have something to do with it.
just got a freinds cd-r with some cool rave songs and it worked. im glad i can get whatever song i want now on my xbox.
