    Alternates are no lo

Just like in real tennis, there are qualifying rounds, which we might just use. This gives everyone a fair chance to play in each tournament as they wish. What we will do is rank each player 1-64 (if we have that many), and the top 26 entrants (by rank) are in, and the remainder will play qualifying rounds to get into the main draw or just get wild cards. This will make it that much more competitive for all that really want to play, because the way this site is going, we will probably have more drop out, then actually stay in to play.

thats a good idea BAB!!! my question is this, how do you classify the rankings? do we have to play #'s of games before we get rank?

Well the first tournament will determine seeds. It will be a random draw, and whatever happens, will be your rank.

More details to come as the game nears its release.

well you may as well just burn #1 seed onto my profile, cause thats where i'll always be, so at least that starts the list... i'll let the rest of you guys figure out the bottom of the list.

but i have a feeling that word will spread and we will get a lot of people too sign up once the game comes out... a whole lot. Keep spamming those forums boys and we'll get a 64 person draw no problem.

Although I agree with this process. I still feel that a draw of the first 32 positions should go to those who signed up first, with the remaining 32 as a second draw. Just my thought, if everybody else agrees with a full 64 position draw thats ok to.

I think it's a cool idea, and I can't wait to get to that first tournament, and have rankings! I will be Happy just be in that top 26 draw 8)

I wish this damn game would come out already! I am sooooooooooo ready for a new online game and with this league and having tournaments and stuff, I really can't stand this long wait....2 more weeks I guess.

I think we will just be aiming for a 64 person draw. If we have 36 people sign up, then everyone will get a bye into the second round except for those 4 individuals that will have to play a 1st round. This way, everyone will play if they want. Thats even if we will have 32 people in any given tourney.

Yes, that's what brought me here--your post at Gamespot. Has anyone posted information about the league in the official Xbox XSN forum?

we've been avoiding the main xbox forums because we picked up some troublemakers in the past there. It's just too easy to recruit people that aren't cool from there. Lots of kids who don't care about anyone else....

Ya it's better to find cool people and then bring them here, instead of mass advertising. That way you cut down on the A-holes.:D

www.operationsports.com and www.gamespot.com i believe are all matured players. just in case someone slip passed in our league that came from other advertising and are A-holes, we have the best commish here, they could ban them even if they have new gametag.
i wonder how they do it..... but thanks for making our league the best experience on online leagues.

I am really amazed that the gamespot forums don't get more use than they do. They will spit out some great media and previews and still no one uses the threads....

Does IGN have good thread activity?

I found another decent site, www.ocgn.com (Online Console Gaming Network) could be a good source of players. I will write their admins to get their policy on advertising.
