Seeing as there will not be any pre-season for us this season.... I was wondering if any other GM's would be interested in participating in some organized scrimmages (Unofficial pre-season/Warm-ups) If your a GM or AGM and are interested in taking part in this please put your Team and contact info below. Ill try to work out a loose based schedule when I know who is interested. Thanx
Def a good thing, something I'd def be interested in. @VibezDigital - The Boss @Jlm1410 - The biggest, the baddest Assistant Boss you'll ever find.
I'd prefer to have some official AHL pre-season games - maybe scheduled Thurs & Fri after bidding and just before Week 1. However if the league staff can't squeeze in any time to create a brief schedule, then an informal intersquad scrimmage may be the next best thing. I will definitely ask my roster after the AHL bidding who would want to participate. Thanks for the good idea!
No it was my understanding that the AHL would start same time as NHL. Meaning when we got our bidding done it would be used for NHL's 1 and only week of pre-season..... But if teams were still interested in addition to I would be willing to figure something out in addition. Being it would only be a couple or days before things kicked off it wouldnt be more than a few games.
Bing Sens GM(The less skilled one)- @Live_by_SIN AGM(The better one)- @nyBARISny We are most certainly interested
St J Ice Caps Lake Erie Bakersfield Condors Chicago Wolves Texas Stars Bing Sens Utica Comets Manitoba Moose *Iowa Wild* (If no official pre-season is announced) So we have 8 teams already signed up. 9 once MBP gets off his white picket fence. (jk) My thoughts are pairing off a team with another team to play 2-3 games (changing lines of course) one night. Then doing the same the next. (Will try to match up teams in opposite conferences) I know it would be nice to get a chance to play everyone, but with lack of time to get availability I think it would prove to be more disruptive then beneficial. I think with the teams all being brand new and using different line combos it will be as if your playing a new team each time regardless. There is no trophy or competition so keeping your own stats are all up to you to do with as you please. I suggest we try to use the same rules as the league to insure new players are properly exposed to the system they will be expected to follow. Good time to teach players how to take stats and the D/C process.
