I was wondering if we would have a fighting league in the future. If EA's game goes online it could be cool. Create your own boxer. Challenge other boxers. Stats should be pretty simple KO,TKO and points for each round. Have a heavyweight champ based on wins and loses and frequency of fights. A sport based on match play rather then seasonal play.

As I last heard, all EA Sports games will be on Live, which is a cool idea btw.

    Re: A fighting leagu

That is a great idea Giotto. Like any1 can participate but you don't have a set schedule. You challenge people as you wish. Say a person who has yet to fight challenges the guy who is currently the champ....the new guy would automatically climb up on the ladder if he were to win. I think you are on to something here G.

Wow! I am so all-over this. This could be very very cool....although good point about scheduling....it would have to have a very different set-up as far as a season is concerned.

When does the next Fight Night come out anyways?

    EDIT - March 2005

Scheduling should be pretty easy, i think. You dont have to have a set schedule just challenge people in the league and go up or down in rankings. The only scheduleing trouble would be trying to hook up with # 1 ranked player. And if he doesnt fight enough or only fight low ranking guys he should be dethroned based on our ranking system. I like the idea that its up to the players who want to partcipate. The down would be when intial interest drops will there be enough people around to still have the league, but there always seem to be some new interested people. I guess it would live or die on its own meret.

This schedule idea could be used in any league as a side league.

Yeah and it is 3 month away, I think we can get some ideas about ranking and possibly a score board if Tris would bless us with that.

I'm up for this. March will be here before we know it. Let's get the ideas flowing. Obviously we all will be starting off 0-0 and I don't see people jumping online the minute they get home from the store. No one is going to risk their record until they feel comfortable going online. So we will have to have some sort of "Training Season" before we start the quest for the Championship.

I don't know if I will be able to play this game and not laugh my A$$ off when I knock someone out.

Come on now, Like you would be able to knock someone out. :? MGM, " I am falling and I can't get up." :D
I like the idea of a training period. What about having rank dealing with money somehow. Like Beginning off the fights worth 50,000 for the winner and the loser gets like 25,000. But lets do 50 and that represents 50 grand. Then bigger fights you can put money on the table or something like that?

Just and Idea. I think that could be fun. I don't know sounds like more work though.

Perhaps we can just reset the score board after so many months, or if you loose you title so many times you reset your ranking and have to work you way up. I bet there will be a link to track all your stats at EA. I wouldnt mind trying to keep the stats to a minium. All that will matter is Wins and looses, KO TKO and what round.

LMAO.. "I"m gonna get you SUCKA", awesome movie...Yeah, this is a great idea. I'm not sure how the game is, but it would be cool if it were like Links, and you build your character up through the ranks, that way if you lose, you would have to keep practicing and stuff.
