I hear you jcon...I want to play this game so bad, but nobody has reviewed it. I don't want to spend $60 on a ****ty game.

I haven't played the game myself (unless you count 20 minutes of playtime as playing it), but I've seen it played. The combat system is pretty sweet and some of the kill animations are amazing. However, I find that it does get somewhat repetitive after a while of running around the towns killing people. I don't know if it'd be worth passing up on Mass Effect for.

Repetitive is an understatement. What a boring game IMO. Same thing minute after minute. Good idea, poor implementation on UBI's part. I sent it back to gamefly. Just my 2 cents on AC.

I just recently picked up AC (the Limited Edition) for $35. Give it a few months and I can easily sell it for $80-100.

Anyways, the game is repetitive to say the least, and the tasks at hand are all the same. You get the same "prizes" for achieving side quests and such, and the combat is nothing like the video previews presumed it to be. Its not that challenging. I will finish the game, but its definitely going to be sold once completed.

I never bought into the hype of the game, so its not necessarily a disappointment. Its just your typical game. Ubi was more focused on showcasing the "free roaming" abilities rather than make a very good story and give the player a variety of mission types. Besides, the game isnt as open ended as it seemed to be. Invisible wall barriers, certain locations you cant access at a certain time, etc....its just a linear game with a bigger travel route.

I got Assasin's Creed for Christmas. So far I'm really liking it. Great graphics. I already knew about the storyline going in so I'm not super disappointed with that. I went in expecting something fun to play for 30-45 minutes at a time and thats what I got. I can see how it can/will get repetitive, but I still enjoy it, especially going around and stealth killing guards and what not. Not a GoY nominee, but I would think if it had come out a year or two ago (wasn't it supposed to be out a year ago?) it would be up there. But with CoD4, Halo and others out there this game was up against stiff competition. Oh yeah I got Mass Effect too, can't wait to play that.

Does skate really qualify as a EA sports game? Pretty sure that label applies to Madden, NCAA, and NBA games.

Well consider Rob Dydrek and Big Black were here last year making the game , I would think SO .. Ive never been a "skater" in my life .. AND this game is Killer . So much fun, Theres no such thing as "cheese" and there is no major glitches. ONLINE play is way more smooth than any of the games listed above.. Go rent it 95% chance you will love it ( If you play Hockey ..you are set It's all skill stick ) . Just my 2 cents ...

PS watch for Battlefield 2 Bad Company... Jus seen it a few days ago looks pretty damb good.

And if I had to vote for game of year of those titles listed, I would have to go off the record again and say Tiger Woods if SKATE doesn't count :)
