Anyone want to race tonight to test settings? If so, put down what times you are available and we will try to get a time going where we have the most people. I missed last nights races, but can make some tonight. If you guys run tests, please try to grab these stastics: Prior to race Track Lap % # of laps Pit Stop setting # of pit stops Damage setting Flag settings Speed Comp setting Then after the race is over: How many people started the race How many people finished the race For those that didn't finish, how many laps did they complete Number of cautions Number of lead changes How long did the race actually take before it was over I think if we can capture this information, it will help all of figure out what we like and what the majority would like to do each week. The good thing about racing leagues is we can always change it if it is determined that it isn't liked. Racers: Marauders 9 EDT - 12 EDT caniacfan86 - 8 EDT - ? hEY I will be up for a few tongiht ill be on probably after 8 or so.. I will be using a stock car though because my profile got corrupted so yea
i can be on at like 9 EST til 10 EST because I have 2 MLB games to play. So depending on how long those two games take, I'll be back on Nascar if were still testing.
I'm free 6-9PM EST. I could start one right at 9 and go till about 10, if that works good for everyone else.
I guess as it stands right now, we will go promptly at 9 EDT. Hopefully, we can flag down a few other guys. What tracks do you guys want to try to run? Settings you want to test. Since Jefferey hasn't seen SpeedComp, should we try that to give him a real life experience with it? Up to you guys, what do you think?
I say we try Atlanta with Speedcomp on. I have a decent setup that I used in the 150 lapper last Friday there. Not saying it's blazing fast and I'm guaranteed to win, just saying I know it's a fast setup and it's a fast track. So I could get a feel for how much of a difference it makes and go from there. I'm cool with doing short 30-50 lappers tonight if you want. Try to get a couple races in at a few different tracks. Then of course I'm sure more people can probably play at 10 or later. Damage/Flags/etc doesn't really matter to me. BTW, all this is dependent that I'm not drunk over the Blue Jackets doing jack today.
I will be there at 9pm...just invite me in....I would like to do the daytona and tally just because they are the easist place to race....
ATL 40% 3x wear damage on speed comp off How many people started the race : 8 How many people finished the race: 6 For those that didn't finish, how many laps did they completed 6, 74 /101 Number of cautions 16 Number of lead changes 16 How long did the race actually take before it was over: a little under an hour, correct?
That was a pretty good race that had just about everything; a dominant car at first, problems on the restart just about every time, side by side racing, fuel/tire strategies, etc. I was in the lead coming to take the white (and just about out of fuel) and the caution came out... so I basically went from first to last since I had to pit. Fuel strategy didn't work so well for me this time
race 1, i clearly didn't have a good car, i got very lucky was able to get great restarts but after a lap or 2 u guys caught up to me. i got lucky when i got that great start and u guys wrecked behind me. Race 2 I hated I didn't have a good set up, when i stopped to fix it. I went a lap down and then i got stuck in the pits when a yellow came out i hated the speed comp it was to hard to control. I rather go a lap down or 2 because then i messed up my set up then have that crap on.
Race 1 was not fun--I had no control with all my settings on off...race 2 i was able to lead 48 laps and felt good the whole way...
Good racing guys. Was surprised how big a lead I got at the start but after the first round of pit stops, everybody seemed to be pretty even. The only thing that really sucked was the restarts, just sucked how hard it was to get off the line without spinning the tires. Seemed like most of our yellows were at the beginning and then people trying to pit under green and getting on the apron. Had alot of great side by side green flag laps. I'd recommend going x2 on the wear. X3 only lasted about 17-19 laps before you had to pit for fuel. Just kinda seemed like once you finally got some good green flag racing, it was time to pit again.
I enjoyed both races.. I liked the first one better because I let like 9 laps woo. Lap 2 was fun also me and marauders swaped places a few times and the first like 15 laps was interesting watching the leaders swap positions.
Race 2 was a lot of fun. Not a lot of cautions and good side by side racing. And thanks to cubbies for helping everyone with their setups. Helped me out a little bit. Wish I could have been there for the Atlanta race. In the past I've had troubles with restarts, that's for sure.
