    Hey folks! We wanted to give you some of the information that we use as we consider our selections during the voting process. The below data was compiled by The-Statistician, who has a solid background in Statistical Analysis. He will explain further some of the details involved in the Strength of Schedule (SOS) figures and other items that may be helpful to you.

    These stats are only for the 4 individual awards that are partly based on performance

    Since I put the stats together I'll give a few explanations.

    First SOS (strength of schedule) is calculated using both the average opponents win % (OP%) and the average opponents opponents win % (OOP%). I then weighted the OP% twice as much as OOP% with the following formula [(OP%x2) + (OOP%)]/3

    The SOS should be compared against an average schedule (54.1%). Higher the more difficult the schedule and vice versa for lower.

    Of course there are 3 lines on each team, which was not considered as there are too many variables that can be in play. (ECU, different lines, etc)

    You will not come back to the GAA for goalies on the website because it's based off of minutes played and not games played like I did for the goalies. It was just easier that way.

    The Bottom/Top half teams is based strictly off of win% and not those who missed/made the playoffs.

    Everything else is straight forward, if there are any questions just reply on here and i'll answer eventually.
