What settings? Track, length...all that good stuff. Don't think I'll be able to make it that late but depending on setting, might be able to.
I'll play if I can. I'm supposed to play 2 NBA games tonight, if he doesn't show, them I'm in and will be looking for ya Marauders.
How about tomorrow? I pick up my game tomorrow. I would likely be interested. I trade in Nascar 08, NHL07, Halo3, and NCAA 08 Football all for Nascar 09, lol.
Sorry, just got back on. As far as settings, was just thinking we could all get together and figure out what we want to do. Was thinking just set up a default race at Daytona or something and we could discuss real fast what we want to race next while we qualify or something.
Sorry I bailed after the Talladega race but had to go. If anybody's ever online and up for some racing, as long as it's not Talladega or Daytona, hit me up. I don't mind really mind Talladega and Daytona but only if nobody's using the engine glitch. I'd rather lose by someone with a better setup, then someone who's just taking advantage of a glitch.
Fun racing. It's so tough to go side by side in turns though because it's so hard to keep the car in one line, and while tire wear and fuel consumption are fun to keep track of it just drags down the races sooooo much having to wait for people to pit during caution. That was a good group of people to race with though. No one got too pissed off when there was a wreck, and the idiot quotient was very low... but damn if I couldn't keep up with the top 6 or so, a couple of those guys have some killer setups.
Good times. I had not raced a lot online before that so it was fun to turn some laps. I'd like to run some different tracks too. Daytona and Talladega are fun, but it can be a bit much when people don't hold a line though.
like i said i only did those 2 tracks cause they are the easiest, we can play whatever track everyone wants to play anytime, i think we raced well enough to get a league going though. i think we should be an indiviuals race but be on a "team" with 1 other person on the track. keep points for individuals, add them together with your partner for team results. i think we need to all have the same performance points setup, whateer those number are can be determined but they have to be equal so its about setups and driving. i also dont wnat to lose the stratigic aspects of the game too which is why i put wear on x2. it can be tedious for pitting, but if no one quits under caution we shouldnt have to do those victory laps waiting for a guy to pit. what do you guys think the best settings for a league would be? ps, som of those guys were just good people i race with on my list and joined the game last minute, i think without them it would've been a more equal race. let's do it again tonight if people can get online.
I have my PP set on all area's for my cars. I was able to keep up with the pack somehow. Was in first at Talledega until the last two laps ( mainly because of cautions ) and I never had to pit because of the PP that was assigned to my cars. Made it 56 laps without needing fuel or a tire change. Also, came in 3rd at Daytona. We can get rid of the "glitch" setup by manipulating some of the settings for the races I think. Just a random thought, but what if the settings were as follows: Damage: On Flags: Off ( not really sure if I'm a fan of this, I like all flags on really ) Performance equalizer ( or whatever it is called ) : On Can't remember the other settings. But seems like if you force pit stops for fuel, damage and tires on a long race, the "glitch" setup doesn't help that much. The "glitch" setup really is an advantage for short races with no pitstops. I would like to see longer races like last night, with more pit stops required. Also, with damage on, the same cars will not be able to continually crash. But, it also sucks to sit around waiting for everyone to finish. Anyway, just random thoughts about that.
I'll be on for most of the night, not sure for how long. As for settings I prefer: Damage: On Flags: On Performance equalizer : Not really sure what it does. With flags off, you eliminate yellows which to me is kinda like playing a football game with no penalties. Plus with no flags, there is no speeding in pit lane so you can fly in as fast as you want. I'd prefer to run longer races 40-50% races, atleast 100+ laps, with 2x wear. I'd rather sit there waiting on people to pit under caution and have realistic races, then to be worried about saving 30 secs each caution.
